YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY Favorite thing about them: LOTS of things especially revolving around his general “burden of being champion” stuff but to choose one in particular: how something he clearly loved passionately (battling) became twisted into this inseparable part of his identity that’s an agonizing weight to carry but he’s nothing without. Does that make sense. (Cough cough definitely not relating as an artist who goes thru smth similar) Least favorite thing about them: Uhhh. Idk I kinda wish we got? More with him and Hop post-main story? Those two have some shit to work out. I guess just more of a clarification about where they stand now, I haven’t fully played the game in a while but I don’t remember it leaving off on the most satisfying note. Leon could relate to feeling so protective over a little sibling, and also just admired how fiery Drakloak was, so he helped nurse it back to health (I like to think Raihan helped too because this was Leon’s first time handling a dragon and he did NOT know what he was doing). Drakloak joined him after that, and also moved ALL its Dreepy siblings into Leon’s apartment. Those lil shits are eating all his food. Rose's grand plan actually intended for Leon to die in order for Rose to gain control of Eternatus. It was all planned out: forged will, PR speech explaining why Marcos Cosmos is using Eternatus and how the theoretically-dead Leon would totally be cool with it, even some contingencies if the Champion didn't die then and there - people succumb to injuries in the hospital all the time, right? The point of failure, was, as always, not accounting for kids getting involved. And so Leon lived.

Fair warning this is gonna be long! I have. A whole thing between the Sordword and Sheilbert (the royal twins as i call them) and Leon and Hop both being seperate descendants of the first galar kings (Tarax, Hop & Lee's ancestor and Zacian's first 'trainer', and Lancelet, the twins ancestor and Zamazenta's first 'trainer'... but who knows maybe I'll have to fight when Legends Galar eventually comes out lmao) The two kings were best friends(💅)from the same small village in the south (what would eventually become Postwick & Wedgehurst) both were just teens when the first darkest day happened and they went on their journey to eventually find then wolves and stop Eternatus (who i also hc its current form as being the skeletal remains of the original dragon) The two get crowned after saving the region, and live the latter half of their adolescence trying to heal and build up the region after it was grazed and terraformed by the gigantamax pokemon. But eventually the wolves grow tired and go be placed to rest in the heart of the weald. it was pretty equivalent to loss for the Tax and Lance :[ so much so that they and their home village built the stone arch as a sort of alter and gravestone Tarax couldn't stay in the capital (what would eventually become Hammerlocke) anymore and moves back to their home village to live out the rest of his life behind the scenes while Lancelet takes the place as the face of the crown. Unfortunately that had a less than stellar turn out as Tarax's line eventually faded into obscurity while Lancelet's line eventually fell to greed (this was far after they both passed) The royal twins tried competing in the same gym challenge as Leon (and Sonia, Ness, and the others) to try and bring attention back to the royal family but even with their cheating they couldn't beat Leon(Sordward having a volatile one sided rivalry with him), both twins growing a deep resentment towards the Champion the longer his reign went on. So much so that they play Rose into trying to start the darkest day again. The royal family being the only ones with ancient books saved from bygone years. But! Of course low and behold the Champion's younger brother and his little friend are the ones who get their first and save the day before the twins could?! (Of course they dont consider the wolves p.o.v. or if they were even deemed worthy to weald even one of the legendary weapons) That's kinda why the twins antagonize Hop as well as try to discount the wolves as 'the real heros of galar' (only further cementing their unworthiness and the wolves favoritism towards Hop. They think Leon is good but has sadly been somwhat tainted by capitalistic greed) Anyways thank you for reading my nonsense if you did!!

I read all of this! (I love to read heacanons and story ideas in the fandom so many times its even better than what we get!) I absolutely love this whole idea! It’s a great way to tie in both stories much better and really explore Galar’s past. (kings and knights, like so much cool stuff we can get from it!) The Eternatus idea is so spooky 😨 it works so great with the skeleton design! Makes the Pokémon feel extra haunting in a way like how Zacian and Zamazenta felt like ghosts when you first meet them. The idea of the twins competing against Leon in the challenge I also love so much. One of my favorite things in Sword and Shield is the game showing how everyone is connected from their time doing that. It makes the characters and world feel more alive. I can totally see them being a part of the Challenge. (And failing so bad nobody really remembers them especially because Leon essentially became the MVP to the region and has been for years now) The burn to Leon 😂. I love him but yeah man kinda sold out with all those sponsorships and PR for sure! I blame Rose… we can all blame Rose for everything. Hop being the doggos favorite, yes all of this please. It’s such a nice way to show how he IS important as himself and not trying to be something he isn’t. Also love the names of the former kings you have for them. The name Lancelet really reminds me of Lancelot and as someone who finds the King Arthur Legends with the knights interesting I love this. (If we do get a Legends game in Galar it does make me wonder if they’ll lean into Arthurian stuff in general too!)

Okay, so now it's my turn to rank some of your f/os! I'm also gonna give my reasons why as well so get ready I hope I don't make this too long. Hinata Shoyou - easy 10/10. You two are perfect for each other, two peas in a pod, each other's personal hype man and best friend. You both bring positive vibes and whimsy every where you both go and you are pretty much inseprable! And also, he would be make sure that he's good friends with your friends too! Champion Leon - 8/10. He loses 2 points because 1. his horrible sense of fashion and 2. because he would be getting you both lost all the time. But other than that, he's a good dude. He's a good big brother and he's got a good head on his shoulders, ya know. Nanami Kento - 9/10. What a great pick! A gentleman and a great partner. He holds open doors for you, remembers your favourite food order and would be your personal driver to wherever you want to go. Definately a keeper! Kiryu Kyosuke - 5/10. I am a bit more weary of Kiryu considering his past. He's gonna have to prove to me a bit that he deserves you. But he seems to want to make up for his past mistakes, which is a great start in my book. But I will be keeping an eye on him. Leon Strohl - Another I would rate 9/10. I know he would treat you with respect and that he would treat you right. He's kind of got that old knight's code/honour about him and I just know you are in good hands with him, I trust him to protect you.

Nagi!!! These are lovely! Thank you so much!!! 💜💜💜 You know, people often refer to Hinata and me as “sunshine” so the two of us could probably light up a dark room lol. I’d also try to be friends with his friends (except for Atsumu. I’m hissing at him every time he makes eye contact lol) You know what makes Leon getting lost easily worst? I also am terrible with directions. I’ve made a joke with another moot who self ships with Raihan that me and Leon are going on a double date with them but it takes hours and we finally end up where they are and we’re like, “we got a little lost…” “You guys live in the next town over” I’d definitely try to figure out how to make bread for Nanami. One thing I always think about getting together with Nanami and I go missing for some reason, I always imagine people ask him why he’s so gung-ho on looking for me, and he replies, “she makes me smile” You’re not wrong on Kiryu. I love him, but yeah, he needs to work on himself before working on a relationship. But I would love to think that him taking over Crash Town (Satisfaction Town) is him on the right track I love Strohl so much! He’s such a gentleman and a sweet guy. I love a guy with a big sword and an accent! And if anything, you and Basilio and me and Strohl can go on double dates!

Wes is aware of the fact that sometimes, he’ll see or hear things that aren’t actually there. He can’t afford to assume that they’re figments of his mind, but he also can’t afford to act like something is there when there isn’t; being labelled as “crazy” in Orre gives anyone clearance to kill him without repercussion. For a while, he relied on Team Snagem, and then Rui. He’d never address anyone unless someone else did first; he managed to keep up this cool and aloof facade, and being rude is better than being crazy. Alone in the Wild Area, for the first time, he lets himself react to things. He doesn’t care if the wild Pokemon judge him, and he never let a person get close enough for them to see him react to nothing… Leon notices that Wes will jerk his head and glare at something he can’t see, but he keeps his mouth shut. He pretends that he doesn’t notice. Later, when Wes explains that sometimes he’ll hear or see things that aren’t there, Leon offers to help. Wes could always talk to him if he needs to. Most of the time, these rogue sounds or visions are short, only a few seconds. If he’s particularly worried or under duress, they might last for longer and be more solid. Wes finds that speaking aloud, acknowledging that the hallucination is there, just leads to it sticking around for longer, getting meaner. So the solution that they come up with is that Leon will tell him what he sees and hears and feels; knowing that the hallucinations aren’t real, he can focus on what Leon tells him is real, making them fade away faster. Leon never judges him for what he sees or hears, never treats him like a freak or crazy. He doesn’t understand why Wes’s mind plays tricks on him, why it conjures threats and demeans and degrades him; but he can understand that Wes needs his help, so Leon helps him.
