I lost my marbles a little and… Teanmoon’s Queen of Curls, chopped and made into a hat-slider-compatible earring (it’s ridiculous, about 5K polys for the front curls alone, so I cannot in good conscience even consider releasing it, I think, aside from the fact that I’m probably one of three Simblrs who likes this kind of thing), shown here on a random pudding with an un-default-replaced bun. It looks enough like one of the busts of Julia Flavia floating around that my conscience is appeased by how it looks a little queen-of-hearts-y. I am unsure if it is a bit too dark compared to the Sim’s actual hair. We shall see.
Boutique Mod - WIP A peek at my latest project—my interpretation of the sims 2 shopping for clothes system, complete with animations I have pilfered and converted from TS4 and various concepts I nabbed from here and there. I’m at the point of the project where I’ve forgotten why I originally wanted to make it but alas, the show must go on! This mod is as much for the business side of running a clothes store as it is the customer side. However, once you’ve set things up, the shop should be able to run itself in your absence (so you can be as micromanagy, or as non-micromanagy as you wish). As well as buying outfits using clothes racks, I remixed the ITF Clothing Pedestal and made my own variation of that too. Plus, I added a way to buy accessories from their own rack, so you have multiple ways to dress your sims up. While not pictured, @dhalsims kindly converted the ITF clothes rack so I could use it in this mod. One cool thing about the clothes racks is that they’ll actually get emptier as the stock goes down! The closer I get to release, the more ideas for additions I have, but I’m finally at the stage where I’m polishing up the existing features! The next time I make a post about this mod, it’ll probably be on release so please look forward to that! I have a lot of documentation to write :P Until then!
Teddy/Kitty Cafe and some more pics Hey babes, 💋 I’ve been focusing on some of the houses. I finished the iconic roundabout on the “i”. It’s always awesome to finally see your world slowly coming together. Today I wanted to share with you some pictures of my most anticipated lot: the 🧸 Teddy Bear/Kitty Cafe! ☕ It’s supposed to be a cat cafe, but if you haven’t seen my previous post: there will be multiple versions of this world, and the basic version (that I’m working on now) doesn’t have the Pets EP. Thankfully teddy bears are a perfect world-appropriate substitution! And I must give credit where credit is due. This build is largely inspired by LilSimsie’s Cat Cafe/Thrift Store build. I’m actually a terrible builder, so I’m heavily relying on pre-existing assets. But isn’t this soooo cute? 💞🫧 I tried my best to make a make-shift cat tower! The Barbie universe is obsessed with pets, so there’ll be a lot more teddy bears going forward as a pet stand-in. Just sucks that you can’t place them on surfaces… Let’s move on to some 🏩 Houses! 🏩 I deeply apologize about the quality. These were screengrabs from some videos I took. I’m using two separate computers, one for the sims and the other one for everything else like posting here, so it’s hard for me to go back and forth to make things look better lol. I’ll get better with some more practice. There’s more houses than that. So far, there’s 4 “regular” houses similar to what’s shown here, the treehouse, and a fun vintage playhouse! I tried following the movie as closely as I could, but again, I’m not the best builder and I’m pretty limited by the basic version restraints. It’s okay, they fit well enough don’t you think? That’s it for this post, and you can check out my TikTok for some low quality videos lol. ~ 𝓍𝑜𝓍𝑜, 𝒮𝒶𝓃𝑔𝓊𝒾𝓃𝑒𝓈𝓈 💋
[WIP] Serenity Ridge photo dump because making a world is really really hard y'all and I need to share it It’s based on the hood from the sims 2 for ps2, which I have dubbed Serenity Ridge. It’s a sort of time capsule world that will have no time period. It’s a mix of all time periods and technology so that nothing will ever really feel out of place if you use ITF like me! Someday it’ll be finished hahahahaha
Finally finished and on to a little testing! :) I’ve been wanting to start a save in Lunar Lakes or some other futuristic/alien world but haven’t because I thought seeing base game cars all over the place would be distracting and not as fun. So I decided to make myself some default replacements using the Into the Future vehicles because I couldn’t find any anywhere. But I finally figured it out though and went a teensy bit overboard and ended up doing all the service vehicles I could find hover versions for and all the base game cars. Still want to do more testing though, esp to see the ins and outs of using the defaults in worlds where premade households already have cars. Above is Sunset Valley btw. I forgot to get a pic of Agnes Crumplebottom in her hover convertible. It was cute.
A) Realize that irinka’s sari (at least the draped portion) works great as a palla B) Laboriously separate the drape and decimate it and bone it and morph it and so on and so forth C) Why is it so lumpy and what’s with all these spots???
Andddddd I’m BACKK after not being active for damn near 4+ months!!! ;) (Lets act like that never happened) Anyways since I’m here I might as well share w/you all a project I’ve been working on since like the summer of last yr. It’s a bunch of hyper realistic lots for the sims 3. As you can see I have some homes done but it’s not just that, I’m also making high schools (magnet ones included), a Target inspired supermarket, mini-stores, and a magnet elementary school to finish it off!! Stay tuned for this stuff, I’ll be posting it in the future!! (hopefully not in 4 more months LOL)
The skirt seems to have the most noticeable dip in the hips with the thin morph, and it’s not as bad in the average to fat morphs. The only times this dip would be noticeable is when kids are seated doing homework, playing with dolls, or listening to ghost stories. Otherwise, I think this should be good enough for release, just gotta get pictures.
I need a poorer town. I’ve been playing/testing a Volunteerism mod but I realize that everyone is too rich in my current town for it. Local residents can volunteer at the local school or hospital to do things like coach children’s sports games or bring knitted items for patients. Or active volunteering at a park, library or community center. Here’s my library volunteer hosting a storytime for kids. Except with no book. But I think my favorite library volunteer feature is being able to recommend books to other Sims to read and then showing them where it is. I’m trying to turn the community center into a bustling lot. There, my volunteers can host food drives, toy drives or soup kitchens. Again, no one fits the need criteria so we get a ton of donations but not many takers. She can even run bingo games…if I can fix the machine. Does anyone know why the empty/clear parts of the cage are showing up as black? (Fixed! thank you @bietjie !!) Regardless, my elders are about to rack up a lot of debt playing because winning is not easy the pot keep piling up. THIS took the longest time. I was trying to create a live class system similar to Uni but I wanted to have direct control over my teachers to be able to ask students questions or invite students to present, etc. I had to write and rewrite the code 3 times before I got something I was mostly happy with. This is going to give my elder and retired Sims so much to do. But now I’m on the hunt for a slum town with broke sims so this mod makes more sense rather than the Hampton seaside community to continue testing and fixing all the bugs. Maybe Twinbrook or the bad side of Lucky Palms? Happy for any recommendations!
