having Darktide Character Thoughts again and like. i feel it’s somewhat easier to explain and for other people to understand what makes imperial psyker characters appealing to me as an autistic person (loathed for an innate part of who we are that we have no control over how it manifests, tortured to force us to conform to what’s expected of us, etc)… but it’s maybe less easy to explain and less obvious the similar autistic appeal of the “failed soldier Cadian” (strict, rigorous and ridiculously high performance expectations and social rules everyone in your society is expected to meet that you consistently fail in one way or another, and are perceived only with loathing and disdain for your consistent failures to meet expectations no matter how much you succeed in other areas, and you flounder in the misery of not knowing or understanding why you’re different from everyone else, why you fail in ways other people don’t seem to despite your every effort, what’s wrong with you, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU????) anyway i’m completely and totally normal about my two failed cadian psyker OCs don’t look at me

If I had a nickel for every time I fell in love with a co-op action game where you play as a team of disgraced and exiled warriors compelled by forces beyond their reckoning to combat an enemy created from anguish and pain, born out of the callous violence of empire, I’d have two nickels.

the skitarii gameplay trailer got posted onto Fatsharks youtube a couple of hours ago (its like less than a minute long). Are you interested in the class at all? Im gonna play regardless cause content, but im still waiting on them to drop the actual blog post detailing their kit. though that’s likely to be shown off like a couple days prior to skitarii going live
I’m very interested! A bit hesitant because I really don’t like diving into new stuff with reckless abandon, but between Fatshark teasing the ability to customize voice pitch, and the sword n dagger combo I’ve been yearning for, I’m actually quite a bit excited! The potential for interaction between the skitarii and the rejects/arbites/hive scum are also a draw for me to potentially pick up on juicy gossip. Which brings me to my hope that they add more maps to the game itself and some additional story along with it, but we’re getting off topic. I’ll likely get it once I see some more of the new class in action and decide if it’s my kinda playstyle or not.
Hello there Vincent here I recently experienced an interesting incident. Let me put it bluntly, I was banned from a server where, as I’ve said after talking to a mod, I was toxic. I saw screenshots where the tone without context was quite aggressive, but in each case I repeated that it was simply sarcasm. This is my type of humor, I won’t change it because I don’t feel the need to force myself to pretend to be someone I’m not. An adult wouldn’t be offended by something like that. In fact, I may have been teasing some people a bit, because I think some people think a little too highly of themselves. One person couldn’t stand it when someone dared to comment negatively on her work, while another spoke relatively normally, but I still noticed the distance she felt towards me. This is probably how people over 30 operate: instead of solving a problem and talking, they prefer to cut everything off and lock themselves in their toxic bubble of positivity, not caring that they are worsening the other person’s condition and, along with it, worsening their own reputation. Another thing was the second group of extremely irritating people who literally shit themselves when they saw their friends’ work as if they had never seen it in their lives. If you weren’t their friend, or you didn’t have an interesting style, or you were just me, you were automatically ignored. I was ignored solely because they didn’t like me. Why? Because a former friend didn’t like me and I suppose I was slandered. So I was automatically this negative, bad person that no one wants to talk to because he has too pessimistic an approach to life. I probably don’t have to say that I felt unfair because I was banned by a mod who simply prefers those people. So there was no reaction to their spam, but once I got involved in the discussion there was an immediate reaction. All you had to do was speak in a different tone than everyone loves and you were immediately labeled a “racist, Nazi, homophobe”. This is the fantastic, artificial environment found in Warhammer Community. I will postpone the next topic until tomorrow, because it was also a display of absurdity and logical somersaults
