People of Bwindi…you made my days! We had good fun along the way, being curious about our different appearance and cultures 😉. Emilly, thank you so much for cleaning that small room and giving me a proper shelter for the night and a nice breakfast - highly appreciated! I would have been stuck in the rain without you… It’s always interesting to realize how little I actually need to be happy…a smile hear, a little shelter there and some meat sticks inbetween 😁 #uganda #cyclinguganda #differentcultures #bwindi #bwindiimpenetrableforest #portraitphotography #portrait #freeshelter #shelter #downtobasics #smiles #kids #ugandakindness #neverstopexploring #outsideisfree #greatoutdoors #adventurelife #ridewithaview #thisisafrica #africanvillage #friends #basics #bikepackinglife #vpacebikes #t2st #tubus #ortlieb_waterproof #bikepacking #dropbarbikes #titaniumbikes (hier: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpug4ydFuGM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1hr20d336iob0

This is the house we lived in while my father was stationed in Wildflecken Germany. We lived outside of the Village of Bischofsheim in Bavaria. I still have vivid memories of this place. Have you ever lived in a foreign country as a child? Did it leave you with good memories? And front he house to the road was not flat, it was quite steep. You could ski down the driveway. #armybrat #movingwasnormal #memories #impressionable #differentcultures This was the beginning of my love of cultures, all cultures. #marysellsthelakes https://www.instagram.com/p/CBIqGo_hCQ3/?igshid=tjz4d2ljxgzi
https://www.instagram.com/p/BrQYJ1aHvvJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1bc774q6gefe

Atrangi Re - Fanfic - Ch 2: Hostel Rush (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/1182962285-atrangi-re-fanfic-ch-2-hostel-rush?utm_source=web&utm_medium=tumblr&utm_content=share_reading&wp_uname=chinup95&wp_originator=TpDaRiKj2mrpx0Z9yPoLQrnJTuDgkyrSjvZ9GZPWS6EVi36Lu5s65zn7eTdF1b0t3fsmGPF%2Fo2wnHBSt7BUIbHd33qxxG5O%2BVWkkmsViz%2Fcyl2bR7zodJWCdg18aKI3e Atrange Re movie was about a rural Bihari Girl Rinku suffering from paracosm which is treated by her husband’s friend Madhusudan. The lovestory between Rinku and Vishu (her husband, doing MS in IMS, Delhi) is quite cute if viewed from a purely roamntic lens but fails if viewed from practical lens. So, here is my take on how their life pans out after the incidences of the movie and the struggles of an inter caste, inter state love story where two different cultures collide and mix. P.S. : I am not a Delhite so please expect inccuracies when I deal with the city. However, in order to not annoy Delhites, I shall do my best to mention and describe the city as little as possible. Disclaimer: This is a fanfic of the original movie. The poster of the story is the poster of the movie.

Different moments of Cultural Meeting
Italian dinner 29/11/2018. Connecting with special characters of other cultures: intercultural compromise and acceptance of diversity On 29th November we arranged an intercultural special dinner based on cooking traditional dishes and share them with different people. Highlight the importance of the confrontation between nations in order to learn from universal life situations through listening different stories, comparing them with own pattern in a open-minded dialogue.
Help?
So, I started dating a guy from a completely different culture than my own. I come from an Iranian/mixed Latino household. I have an immigrant mother and although my father is American-born, his first language was not English. They are both really in-touch with their cultures, yet coming from different parts of the world, and from completely different religions (Muslim and Roman Catholic), they made a marriage and raised two kids. Dating, at first, for me was always difficult. All parts of it were challenging. From telling them I started dating and getting them to accept the fact that I am not a little girl anymore, to even just having an open conversation about dating was total taboo for them to have to listen to. I am 25 years old and started dating someone I met at work. It has only been a few months of us seeing each other but if you must know the extent to how we are doing now- besides the usual texting heart-face emoji galore that two people exchange nonstop when they are talking to someone they like, this guy changed his whole schedule around so that every month his days on the unit match the days that I am put on to work. He finds excuses to visit me on the unit every work day, even if we are not scheduled on the same unit. And every date or hangout we have, he comes with flowers. Eventually I decided it would be a cool idea for him to meet my mom. (Was not just my idea, he seemed pretty adamant about meeting her months ago.) So, he meets her and I felt it went pretty well. Now, we are starting to get pretty serious, I think? (Leaves his toothbrush at my house, extra pair of scrubs for when he’s on-call, sleeps-over once in awhile, etc.) So naturally I figured bringing up a conversation about me meeting HIS parents was okay. He kind of seemed like I cornered him when I asked him about it. At least, thats the vibe that I got. I immediately changed the subject. He then told me later on that he wants me to meet them but he would prefer if I met his cousins first. Even before I meet his siblings. Of course I said that that was okay, its what he’s comfortable with, that matters to me. Every now and then he slowly introduces me to what his parents may or may not like about this dating situation. He pretty much drops warnings every now and then to be careful not to mention to his parents that I am not sure if I want more than 2 kids or not. To also wear certain clothes (obviously what I wear out on a romantic candle-lit dinner will be different for when I meet a guy’s parents for the first time) and to say that I am 28… SO. The moment he said that, I said, “is it a problem that you are 30 and I am 25?”, he of course said no, but that his family may have strong opinions about it at first. He later on, took back what he said about everything, and said, “it doesn’t matter anymore what they think or say, I’m a grown person and if they can’t accept the fact that I want to be with you then they don’t accept me.”. I’ve been I guess, in multiple interracial relationships. Almost my whole life. (I suppose-if you don’t consider me “white”, which the census does not, but I’ll leave everyone else to determine/interpret.) But this was something I never really had to worry about. As far as I know, anyone I’ve dated, their parents loved me, even when one or two family members that I have met have had really ignorant opinions/expressed rude comments about middle eastern or hispanic people. He told me that his family may not accept the fact that I am not Indian and that they’ll be really upset at first. So yes, maybe that is something I can’t control. Girls and guys can sit in front of a mirror and practice-over and over-what they want to say/how they want to greet their boyfriend or girlfriend’s parents for the first time, they can try on different outfits for the day, low-key panicking with their stomach in knots, but they cannot change where they come from. So, I know, I can’t change the fact that I am not Indian for his family to accept me or consider me as viable option to be his girlfriend. But then what? When I look up stories of similar situations, everyone talks about how its destined to not work. Does anyone on here have/had a similar experience?
Health and safety at its finest. This picture was taken from the staircase of a restaurant. We had to walk through the site to get into the place. Just wouldn’t happen in the UK. Es que cada persona tiene un ‘soy yo’ único! Es como si fuera su nombre, duh! 😂 I will never forget that one time I went to my aunts apartment (dad side, no Dominican) and I said “soy yo” and she said “quien es yo?” I was like 😱 so confused as to why she couldn’t understand me 😂😂😂😂 #DominicanProblems #lol #haha #differentcultures #smh #dominican #honduran #meme #knockknock
