All tomb kings can do a little bit of Regicide. As a treat

working on test models for tomb kings blood bowl team, trying to work out something relatively quick that I can then use for old world. Also trying oil wash for the first time. That part in particular went great.

Decided to repaint the skeletons I had which had been painted by someone else in a different scheme. Even added some black base edging, as @angelanvar suggested. I think I’m finally done with skeleton warriors

I’ve made progress on my constructs! Including some (gasp) non-Citadel paint, in Green Stuff World’s colour-changing Darth Blue, for that lovely metallic effect. It’s very reminiscent of the Lazotep plating on Magic the Gathering’s Eternals, actually. Looking forward to getting that Necrosphinx onto the battlefield :3

I’ve done barely any Warhammer for months. Well, nothing practical, anyway - just adding to the pile! But I’ve recently signed up to a 2400pt tournament at the end of January with my Tomb Kings, so I spent November working on a couple of Caskets. One uses the top of a Sigmarite Dais along with four skull pillars and an altar from the Arcane Architecture range, and the other has the two brazier pillars from the Dais on the pedestal base from the Garden of Morr. Plus a bunch of random snakes and Tomb Kings paraphernalia, of course. I’m particularly pleased with the Light Wizards - I picked them up early last year, so they’ve been waiting a good while. Next up I have some Chaos Hounds to finish, then it’s onto constructs. I have two converted Necrosphinxes, but since I haven’t painted them yet they haven’t seen a battlefield. I’ll definitely need at least one ready for that tournament!

Creatures. There’s so much that Warhammer Fantasy got right that not enough of the fantasy genre diaspora feeds on enough. Been on a titanic tomb kings kick. And you know what? Ignoring all the dumb stupid nagash and vampire lovers [the minority], you can just go off with them! This is my Ancient Queen of my Fanontep Dynasty. She has killed and since reanimated half of her siblings and cousins to secure her throne in life and then unlife. She keeps a small city of pet humans, feeds and cares for them, and lets them do silly little living people projects in her ancient domain while hunting Orcs for Sport. She seriously hates orcs. Orcs killed her favorite General / Concubine in life, and she’s so motivated by gutteral rage against them that she’s a well put together and mostly coherent undead. WFB just gives you the tools to make kino and I will Not allow Quirky Emotionally Obsessed Undead to fade.
