WH40K Homebrew Space Marine Chapter: Stormwolves — REALLY Final (I hope) 10E Munitorum Field Manual 4.3 Update I should have known better. GW snuck in another points update. I do really like the idea of the new Cadian Recon Squad unit that got added this week … … but at 80 points, I’m having trouble finding a spot for them in my Armylists. They’re not a good fit for my Rogue Trader Void Trooper Lists, as I like to minimize units that aren’t 4+ Armour Save in those. That leaves my Tech-Guard Hypaspist List, or my Brood-Brothers-Auxilla-Counts-As-Motorcycle-Gang List, both of which are already conceptually sound, and there’s no convenient 80 point chunk I could swap out for. Maybe after I see what changes come from the switchover to 11th Edition I might end up having room for them somewhere. Since last update I did end up finding a place for the new Centaur RSV and so now it’s in the Motorcycle Gang List alongside the Legends Centaur Light Carrier. Of course, I had to make models for both. I also made a model for a Tech Priest Manipulus that I’m very happy with. Since these posts seem to get more traction when I leave out any links, as before, I’m going to break out links to my Homebrew “Codex” and Gallery in a reply to this post.

Built out five more Assault Terminators to bulk out my squad to 10! The middle guy should serve as a suitable corporal to lead the squad if I run 2x5. Check the last photo for the full family photo!

Painted up the Terminator Captain from the Crux Terminatus set! He painted up pretty easily, and I wasn’t too wild about the base model, so I wilded out with repeating heraldry and by painting a checkerboard on his left greave. Back banner is from the old Space Marine Captain kit from 4th, I think. I like how the NMM came out on it!
The new Cato Sicarius model, with a little headswap from the new Ultramarines accessory kit. He’s an immensely fiddly build and has some very tiny, tightly packed details to paint, but I’m ultimately extremely happy with how he came out - just in time for the 500 Worlds! Thanks to Games Workshop for the review copy.
First painting job on Space Marines Ultramarines. Still needing technique and precision in handling the waterbrush, but there will definitely be more to come !

Marneus Calgar, the big man himself! This model was genuinely joyful to paint; the details were perfectly spaced out, there were so many fun opportunities for texture, and just enough blank space that I got to add my own character to the big guy.
