AIO for telling my girlfriend I can’t visit her unless her pet situation is fixed?? Hey guys, so for a quick background, my partner lives with her mom and siblings in a 3 bedroom apartment on a second floor. They own two bigger dogs, a male Rottweiler and a male mutt mix (not sure what he is.) The two dogs never get taken on walks, go to the bathroom on the balcony and they keep the Rottweiler in a crate all day as well. Both dogs have gotten into small fights before and I advised them that it most likely will get worse because they are in a small space 24/7 and are both males among other things. Well today they got into a huge fight and one of the dogs had to be taken to the vet for surgery and they STILL want to keep both dogs after this and they keep saying it will be fine and they will be fine. I kinda blew up and told her I won’t be going to her place to visit until the situation gets fixed because they aren’t doing anything to fix it and I do not trust being around the dogs as one of them will lunge and bite you if he doesn’t recognize you in 2 seconds. (I also have a little bit more fear of dogs than a normal person as I was bit on multiple occasions taking care of dogs a few years back) Anyways please be honest and let me know if I am overreacting or something, I love animals and I really can’t be around people who just won’t take care of them.
