Kendrick Lamar (2025) and Bad Bunny (2026) i saw someone say kendrick’s halftime show was about the cultural divide and bad bunny’s was about cultural unification which i think sums it up well. they were both very deep and meaningful and it pmo when ppl (on twitter so like who cares) are comparing whose had the better message or was more effective because obviously that doesn’t matter, they both were impactful in different ways. forcing them to compete against each other for a platform is inherently bad and harmful to the causes that these performances are uplifting. the fact that the maga crowd called both of these shows bad and unamerican just proves that point, they upset the bigots because they were fighting/calling out bigotry. Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny are both artists, lyricists, and activists. don’t get it twisted
Enough time has passed so I might as well admit that I like Bad Bunny (and I also like reggaeton and similar types of Spanish music despite having a limited understanding of Spanish.)
Interesting take on the AI infested Superbowl adverts from an insider. Not being American or a sports fan I hadn’t seen these ads at all (Though I’d heard about the disturbing Ring advert in particular), so I went and looked at the Svedka advert. Holy crap, THAT was their choice? That was the sort of nightmare fuel I can’t imagine ANYONE looking at and thinking “Yeah, let’s put that on the years biggest TV slot, it’ll work”)
