Tiara Predictions: Japan to the Netherlands and Belgium In honour of multiple tiara debuts, I’ve decided to bring back my tiara predictions. As usual, I’ve gone for both my prediction and my wish! Netherlands Queen Maxima Prediction: Stuart Tiara - Maxima tends to wear her bigger tiaras for visits to/from other monarchies. Wish: Sapphire Parure Tiara - Maxima’s lesser worn mahoosive tiara. This one is definitely less likely to be worn considering that Maxima wore it earlier this week for the State Visit from Germany but I wanted to include it anyway. Princess Amalia Prediction: Mellario Ruby Parure Tiara - it goes with the red on the Japanese Flag so would be a lovely piece of diplomatic dressing Wish: Mellario Ruby Parure Tiara - I really love this one and there isn’t one that I want Amalia to wear more Princess Ariane Prediction: Pearl Parure Tiara - I think this tiara would suit Ariane very well and is one of the smaller Dutch tiaras so would be a perfect starter tiara. Wish: Base of the Antique Pearl Tiara - It’s her mother’s first tiara so I’d love that continuity. Another wish would be the Star Button Tiara as that was Amalia’s first tiara so would be very sweet! Queen Beatrix Prediction & Wish: Diamond Bandeau Tiara - My favourite Dutch Tiara and the tiara that Queen Beatrix has worn the most to multi-Royal events in the last 5 years so an easy pick! Princess Laurentien Prediction: Aquamarine Parure Tiara - one of the only tiaras that Laurentien has worn so is a reasonable pick. Wish: Diamond Sunburst Tiara - This tiara hasn’t been worn for a while, so it’d nice if it was worn for this. Princess Margriet Prediction: Laurel Wreath Tiara - Similar to Laurentien, this is one of Margriet’s usual tiaras. Wish: Ears of Wheat Tiara - Again, this tiara hasn’t been seen in a while, so it’d be great if it could make an appearance at the State Visit. Belgium Queen Mathilde Prediction: Nine Provinces Tiara - Mathilde’s usual at multi-Royal Events. Wish: Spanish Gift Tiara - I know that this tiara has almost definitely been inherited outside of the Belgian Royal Family, but I’d love it if Mathilde had inherited it and is just waiting for the right occasion. Princess Elisabeth Prediction: Brabant Festoon - Elisabeth’s usual tiara. Wish: Elisabeth’s Diamond Bandeau - This tiara is currently owned by Queen Paola and I’d love it if we had a hint that it’ll be inherited by the main line. Princess Eleonore Prediction: Wolfers Tiara - I’m trying to not get my hopes up that Eleonore will get a new tiara so the Wolfers Tiara it is! Wish: A new tiara - the Belgians have a teeny tiny collection so I will always wish for any chance of expansion. Princess Astrid Prediction and Wish: Savoy-Aosta Tiara - Princess Astrid’s only tiara and I really want Queen Paola’s tiaras to remain with the mainline (so that we have a greater chance of seeing them) so I’d prefer it if she didn’t wear one of her mother’s tiaras. Princess Claire Prediction: Diamond & Pearl Tiara - The only tiara that Claire has worn since 2010. Wish: Her Wedding Tiara - While I prefer Claire’s other tiara, she hasn’t worn this tiara since she acquired her pearl tiara so I’d love to know if she still owns it.
