This is Neraxis. He is a demon lord in a dark magical girl story I’m working on. He likes using venom, and has both claws and fangs that produce them. Since the world got taken over by the alien demon empire the magical girls were fighting before they lost, he’s actually a pretty popular figure in both the Empire’s politics and pop culture. He’s a bastard but he’s a fun bastard and kind of a bunch of character ideas I’ve had floating around for a while now that never really stuck with fantrolls. He might die or he might become the rebel magical girls’ pet super villain, I haven’t decided yet.
The Manic Pixie, Neraxis
I’ve got to admit, I LOVE a character with a bad attitude. Ezekiel pulls up into first as my main DPS and Shamilla is one of my staples so when I saw Neraxis, I knew I had to have him. First up, let’s take a look at his skills. S1: Black Lightning Claw This attack is PERFECT for getting control of front lines. Although it only hits one target, it draws nearby (Key word. You won’t be touching anyone at the back with this one) enemies towards the target and then stuns them for 3 seconds and reduces their ATK Spd by 300 for 10 seconds. From what I could tell, the 10 seconds starts when the stun does buttttt that still gives you a 7 second speed reduction after the initial attack and with just an 8 second cooldown, you’ll be spamming enemies with this beauty over and over again. S1 Light: PvP If you’re like me and you love to stun lock in PvP, this is the perk for you. It changes the stun duration to 5 seconds which then only leaves you with 3 seconds til you can stun your slowed opponents all over again. S1 Dark: PvE In addition to the stun that you get, you can also throw a solid 25% M.Def reduction onto the opponents with this one. I find Light more useful in PvP but this is a must have for PvE. S2: Obsidian Roar For you D&D fans out there, I think of this as a bard simultaneously using Bardic Inspiration and Vicious Mockery. The skill increases the ATK and Def of all allies for 15 seconds and reduces enemy ATK by 30% for the 15 seconds…with a 15 second cooldown. So you essentially set a stage where your opponents are at a full disadvantage. Another big plus is that the skill isn’t directional. It just hits everyone. You can’t run from this dragon’s bad attitude. In addition to this, the skill stacks. If you don’t have a Stopwatch of Ancient Civlization, get you 5. S2 Light: PvE This increases the mana cost by 1 BUT the skill effect gets doubled. Think of what it means with a Stopwatch for that overlap time. Yeah. Get a stopwatch. The only reason I don’t recommend it for PvP is because of the high mana cost. Good luck firing it off in any useful time if you bump into a Rephy. S2 Dark: PvP I love this one because in addition to cutting the enemy’s ATK, you also cut their ATK Spd by 300. It’s giving you a nice edge when you really need some of those pesky fast opponents to calm down so you can get in a few much needed hits. S3: Breath of Destruction If your breath ever gets so bad that you reduce your enemies M.Def by 20% and stun them, maybe enlist in an army. They need you. This skill is wild. It’s an AoE stun where you hit the enemies 6 times and stun for 1 second per hit. Pro: As enemies try to use skills, they waste them because the second they get hit, they’re interrupted again in the middle of their animation. Con: If they’ve got high dodge, they might be able to get away. S3 Light: PvP Being able to fire off this skill quickly is pretty helpful so reducing the mana cost by 1 saves you some time. S3 Dark: PvE Changing that M.Def reduction to 30% really amps the damage you can dole out to your enemies. It does have a high mana cost though so I prefer to use it in PvE because I actually have time to build the mana. S4: Black Dragon Hide This is where Neraxis shines and why I prefer to build him offensively instead of defensively. His P.Def and M.Def are increased and he innately takes 15% less P.Dmg and M.Dmg. In addition his self buff scales with his attack soooooo you can actually afford to throw more attack into him that you would most tanks and he still won’t immediately die. S4 Light: Everywhere This is a must have if you have his UW in my opinion. The ability to land those 20 normal attacks for the effect to kick in is absolutely necessary to make him much more effective as an offensive tank. You team will love you if you use this skill. S4 Dark: I’m not too sure For this skill, if Neraxis’ HP drops below 50% all of his skill effects are increased by 50%. In theory, this is amazing. In practice…not too sure about its use. keeping him below 50% health isn’t necessarily the easiest thing to do. First of all, if you have him built offensively and have any lifesteal on him whatsoever, he’s not going to be chillin’ below 50% health. If you have a healer in your team, he won’t be below 50% health. If you’re dealing with a boss that can 1 shot your entire team *cough*Tower of Challenge 68*cough*cough*, he’ll just be dead. Ok. I lied. I do know how I feel about this one. It’s useless. Love yourself. Don’t pick this perk. My Perk Summary: T1: ATK, Def T2: Not too helpful T3: PvE - S1 Dark, S2 Light/ S4 Light, S3 Dark PvP - S1 Light, S2 Dark/ S3 Light, S4 Light T5: Light (please don’t be that person that picks the most useless dark perk in existence) I know most people do Unique Weapons and Treasures before skills but I think you need to understand the skills to see how they impact a UW. UW: Roaring Dragonmaw, Acravita This is the reason you want to have that S4 light. After landing 20 normal attacks, you deal dmg equal to your attack to 2 random enemies and give them a lovely half second stun. You’re effectively running interference on their skills. After that, for 10 seconds, you increase your team’s M.Def and P. Def by [4, 4.8, 5.7, 6.9, 8.3 10%] of Neraxis’ M.Def and P.def. The faster you hit, the more likely you’ll have 100 % uptime on this. And with interrupting your opponent’s skill executions every 20 hits, plus stunning with S1 and S3, they really aren’t going ANYWHERE. UT1: Cartridge of Black Lightning I honestly don’t find this one that enticing. It recovers 100 mana per hit of the Black Lightning claw and increases defense by [10, 12, 14, 17, 25%]. I’m thoroughly underwhelmed. Next. UT2: Memories of the Blue God Dragon Oh. My. God Dragon. If you though S2 was good, this makes it even better. Not only does it increase your boost by [20, 24, 29, 35, 42, 50%], you also dispel all positive effects from the opponents. Shields cease to exist. Pictured below, Neraxis and Baudouin. UT 3: Rage Vortex This treasure is pretty solid since it increases the stun duration of EACH HIT by one second bringing it up to 12 overall. Do you have dragons that need a tranquilizer dart? This is it. The cooldown reduction also ensures that you’re almost perpetually locked and loaded with that good ‘ol bad breath to take down your opponents. I hope that the guide was a teensy bit helpful. I snagged the first pic from Trihardz_kr on reddit so many thanks to that human.
I know that I won’t get a lot of feedback, but I would like to share because I really love Neraxis, he’s my little arrogant meow meow (sorry for the text but without it it doesn’t look very good, but it says here about how cool black dragons are yeah) the most underrated character in king’s raid NERAXIS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
