Finally made a SharpWing OC… ‘bout time Twenty-Six is a SharpWing, and was the result of an experiment to create more SharpWings when the barrier fell. With no active animus dragons in the world, there was no way to make more SharpWings… until Qibli remembered Turtle’s bowl. The bravest of the original SharpWings, Nine, decided to be replicated. Turns out SharpWings do count as objects, except that the first replication didn’t create an identical copy, it created a completely new SharpWing. This SharpWing was named Twenty-Six, and nicknamed Bloody by Umber. Turtle gifted the bowl to the SharpWings, and they finally could make new SharpWings. Bloody themself is a very pampered and spoiled little guy. They were the first new SharpWing in three thousand years, and the other SharpWings were eager to induct them into their world. Bloody was considered a miracle and a sign of better things to come, plus they were the coolest thing to happen to these three-thousand-year-old dragons. So Bloody was given gifts, celebrated, and could probably get away with murder if they so chose. But they aren’t too bad, they try to live up to the reputation their creation gave them.
Kuzuryū, the nine-headed dragon that is the basis on numerous legends across Japan. Togakushi Shrine, at the base of Mount Togakushi in Nagano Prefecture, is dedicated to Kuzuryū. There is no indication that Kuzuryū is in any way related to Orochi the eight-headed dragon, or King Ghidorah the three-headed monster.
Going to be a lot of dragons for a bit, prepping for artfight and 90% of my ocs are dragons lul I wanted to post 2 of the refs I got done, need to take a break or my spine will explode. Gonna do the intro/id template and post it here as well after I’ve got 5 characters picked out
Back at it again with a drawing..! i wanted to finally do a full drawing and keep myself familiar with my style, aaaaannndddd i’ve gotten back into Flight Rising recently :3 This here lad is one of the many dragons I got, not one of my dreamies but one I’ve liked the design of for a bit and thought it’d be good to use for the drawing. Tried to be funky with the shimmering patterns with some custom CSP brushes I’ve had for ages, don’t look that great but a good start. There’s probably more to come because I love dragons and customization and this website is nearly perfect for me. and of course, enjoy the timelapse :]
Guilt that can’t be washed away. A Redemption forever unattainable In a hypothetical situation where Darkstalker is defeated not by becoming Peacemaker but it’s rather stripped of his animus magic and made normal eventually Darkstalker will come to the conclusion that his entire persona and personality he built himself will come crumbling down. Darkstalker built his entire personality on him being good and destined for greatness, and that anything he did to get him to that greatness is morally justifiable as it is service to what he views as the greater good. Because of this his actions become more morally unjustifiable as time goes on but he uses the “greater good” excuse to maintain the belief he is a good dragon despite his horrible actions. Darkstalker’s entire personality and ego is held together by a tangled web of selfjuifucations and delusion and the moment he realizes that the personality or narrative he made about himself will crumble and when it does it will bring about intense mental anguish and guilt. It doesn’t even have to be after book 10 it could happen before or even during his book and the results will still be the same but admittedly to a lesser extent. He won’t be able to justify his actions anymore and for the first time ever he will see how truly reprehensible they were. There are way too many lists off here (and one special one I am saving for later) but the main overarching thread that would haunt him the most is that he hurt everyone that ever cared about him. Foeslayer, Whiteout, Clearsight, Fathom, and Moon are all hurt by him directly because of his actions and all on service of a future that wouldn’t leave him fulfilled if they weren’t by his side. He even admits so to himself in Turtles book when Turtle is spying on him and Darkstalker thinks he’s talking to Clearsight’s ghost he says something along the lines of of all I see in my future is dragons ebchanted to like him or slaves. This visibly distresses him as he is getting what he wants, he’s getting his Kingdom and is on track to gain the enter content but he’s not happy because everyone he’s ever cared about isn’t with him for it. He then later goes back to blaming Clearsight (and by extension everyone else) for not trusting this shifting the blame into them, but with the previously mentioned ego death taken place he wouldn’t be able to do this anymore and will basically be left with the fact that he ruined the lives of himself and everyone that cared for him. He will be left stewing on he badly he hurt them and how badly they remained hurt even after his defeat experiences he put his friends through wouldn’t go away. He will be thinking about how Whiteout continued not only without him but without any family at all and with a tarnished reputation due to being related to him, thinking about Foeslayer and he killed her husband and also tarnished her name, what happened to Fathom and whether he will be able to trust anyone again given his previous trauma, and Moon who he also lied and manipulated. But the thing that I think he would think and stew upon the most is Clearsight. Not only did he derail their shared good future with dragonets while also lying, manipulating, enchanting her, and if he realizes this after book 10 trying to replace her via enhancement. After realizing how bad his actions are these will cause him to take most mental pain right next to his treatment of whiteout and her fate but even among his horrible treatment of Clearsight there is one thing I didn’t mention above that will truly cause him a great amount of devastation. It’s the fact that he truly considered killing Clearsight the Dragon helved the most. Page 339 Darkstalker legends Clearsight’s pov “‘I know,’” Clearsight whispered back. Her breath caught on a sob. “'He might kill me.”“ That future was horribly clear, real behind her eyes even as her mind refused to believe it. The chance of Darkstalker killing her was so clear and possible that Clearsight doesn’t even have to search in order to see it. We even get Darkstalker confirming this though a couple page before on page 335 we get Darkstalker thinking to himself "Maybe the future was going to be a little different than he’d planned after all. Maybe there would be no queen on the throne beside him.” Darkstalker will never be able to live down the guilt. The fact that he was more than willing to kill Clearsight and all the other horrible actions he did wouldn’t be able to be washed away. Darkstalker will have to live with this guilt and knowledge forever no longer being able to deny it, that he truly was an awful and cruel dragon not only to the world but the ones he cared for the most. There is no redemption for Darkstalker in my opinion because if he truly understood what he did I don’t think Darkstalker would think he would be redeemed. He already thought Arctic was far gone that’s why he killed him how is he supposed to forgive and redeem himself now that he’s realized he was worse than the Arctic? The best case scenario for a Darkstalker redemption is that he realizes early on in Darkstalker legends and changes course. Listens to his friends and drops trying to attain control of the Night Kingdom or continent. If it doesn’t happen during his book I think the best Darkstalker could do is just try and to atone for his actions regardless of whether anyone forgives him or wants to be friends with him. All that will be left for him is atonement for his actions not redemption or at the very least not in my eyes.
