Make sure that you back up your pictures! This cute family picture, taken in 2010 at Coot Lake near Boulder, was nearly lost forever. Fortunately we’d made prints….but for graduation slideshows etc, digital files are needed. I was so impressed that my client was making her slideshow ahead of time. When she discovered that her disc was no longer working she called to see if I had a back up. I don’t love filing…but it pays off. I’m so thrilled that I could help out. Enjoy your pictures!

My love and career in photography started in the darkroom when I was nineteen years old as a darkroom technician processing advertising film and making BW prints of cars for sale at my local newspaper: The News-Messenger in Fremont, Ohio. This opportunity would prove fateful as the beginning of my life as a photojournalist. Rubber City Prints team wishes our Founder, Pam Testa a very happy and wonderful Birthday! Thank you Pam Testa for starting the one place we all love to go and make our art come alive. Pam worked incredibly hard for years to create a place where local art graduates would have a Printshop to continue creating. Pam Testa holds her MFA in Printmaking from Kent State University which is where she conceived of the idea for Rubber City Prints. With the help of fellow friends and colleagues, RCP became a reality in November of 2014. Rubber City Prints remains incredibly grateful to all of the generosity shown by our Founder and colleagues that have helped us along the way. We now have our 501c 3 Non-Profit status and will continue to educate the public on Fine Art through workshops, exhibitions and artist residencies. Pam is an incredibly talented artist and we are lucky to have her around the Akron area! #makeprints #happybirthday
