Mental Health and Boundaries Having a mental health diagnosis is the hardest most depressing thing that people have to go thru. With being diagnosed with depression, anxiety and PTSD alot of people look at your differently and treat you differently. With also going thru therapy with only my hubby and his family in support and not my own is one of the most terrifying and lonely journey that I have ever had to embark on in my entire life. My family has never been there for the highest of highs of me graduating from the military, graduating from law enforcement academy, getting promoted, and getting back from deployment from Iraq. Then they want to sit back and pretend like I should be ok with how they treat me. Question: Why should I keep them in my life? How do you think you would deal with this kind of situation if you were in my shoes?

I got to tell something: Today and for the past few days, I’ve been diving into my old hard drives that I absolutely never open. I realize how much in 26 years of life the countless photos and videos that I’ve been able to take unconsciously or consciously that I keep by the hundreds of GB. Two years ago this would have made me nostalgic, but since I’ve been seeing a psychologist, I’ve become aware of myself and I’m almost happy that my previous self was able to create so many images for itself. Honestly, I’m proud. Because too often I forget all the great things I do. Create, even if it seems useless because the future you will see your present and remember everything.
