Unpopular (?) opinion: I would have liked him to play Alexander. Edvin deserves to be the main of an international Netflix series. With HR Jacob has shown he knows what audiences want; he could finally do justice to Alexander and Hephaestion. And it could be a big success, But if the series follows the novel about the story of a 13-year-old Alexander and Aristotle, the Noah S. babyface makes more sense // id love a series following Alexander and Hephaestion relationship, but it's confirmed that the series will be based on the book The Golden Mean that span the years when Alexander is 13-16yo and will focus on Alexander and Aristoteles. or do you mean you think Jacob might expand the series and go beyond those years and focus more on Alexander and Hephaestion?

Two other funny criticisms: "He's too famous, we need unknown actors" -> HR is the same series where an actor who plays one of the most important role, with a ship and present in every book, has worked with Dolan and in various international series. Edvin's role is smaller. It's also funny that these people want actors they don't know for HR but on their profiles they don't support small projects to promote unknown actors. "I don't want him to be there because he's Wille" -> this means that HR actors won't be able to join other series because HR is more famous than YR, or this only applies to actors they don't follow. It's not Edvin's problem if they can't accept an actor working.

I mean 1) he’s not that famous (outside of a very small bubble. 2) He’s not only Wille but a bunch of other characters

I've read a lot of things against Edvin like Luca (I hate fandoms!!!) but no one has ever said he couldn't act. And I've never read it for the other fancasts either. That's the most important thing. He's not stealing anyone's work. He's a fantastic actor and deserves roles that could land him bigger roles in Hollywood.

I mean regardless of who they cast I think part of the fandom will be unhappy. Hopefully he can do a god job with the role regardless

I posted Omar’s TikTok a little while ago, and here is the story from the handsome Edvin.

A couple of notes about Alexander casting: 1) Jacob not only optioned the book years ago but us reported to have full scripts written for the first few episodes, 2) Netflix ordered the full series with no pilot, which is fairly unusual and means pre-production was cleared to start immediately, 3) JT used to be a actor and has said he hates long auditions & likes to cut to the chase. We know he saw YR & loved E’s acting. He definitely could have been casting that quickly.

We can always hope! It would be huge!

I think he is too. But I don’t think it would be that surprising if it was something else with Jacob. But I definitely think HR

I've been robbed twice. Years ago Edvin started following Matthew Lopez who was in negotiations for The Song of Achilles. I thought this was for the Achilles role but the project never got off the ground perhaps because of the budget or the rights. Now Alessandro was so close 😭😭😭
