AIO Husband is freaking out because I didn’t make dinner My husband is freaking out and being very rude because I didn’t make him dinner. I was never planning on making dinner tonight. I got him stuff for a sandwich. He’s yelling and keeps going on about it. He has even gone as far to be say I’ve never gone hungry in my life. He knows I had anorexia and was hospitalized for months. He said “ eating disorder from eating too much” and yes I’m fat right now because I’ve had two kids back to back but I’ve lost 30 pounds recently. Told him to fuck off am I overreacting? When a he told him that she was exhausted and needed to get my sister settled on the couch, he went ballistic. He threw the most epic man-trum I had ever seen out of him - we were not new to John’s man-trums. So he spent an hour bitching and moaning about how he was hungry. After listening to this, I grabbed a box of oatmeal out of the pantry and flung it at him. Twenty one year old me then told him if he wouldn’t make the oatmeal, McDonalds was a mile away. Long story short, he made oatmeal and locked himself in the basement. They ended up getting divorced the year after I graduated college because his behavior got worse then he left my mom for a woman who would drop everything to cater to him. No love lost there. I have an alert set for when his obituary goes live. The point of me telling you this is because whether this is his first or his 40th man-trum, it will never get better unless he has some serious motivation. You have every right to be upset. You are not overreacting. You are under reacting. Whether or not you choose to believe it, you at least owe yourself a bit more respect. Tear him a new one and start treating him like he treats you. Shrimp Taco Tuesday Night I made shrimp tacos tonight paired with Laura’s Mexican street corn. The tacos were made with pre-cooked shrimp marinated in Dan-o’s Tac-o seasoning, olive oil, and lime juice. I lightly roasted the shrimp in the oven and put them in warmed street taco shells with cojita cheese and lettuce with a squirt of more lime. Laura said they were good, and for that I am glad. 30 Minute Easy Steak & Queso Rice Skillet Recipe Max jokingly asked if I was serving beef-flavored chewing gum for dinner. Simmering the steak in the wet rice for fifteen minutes overcooked it into tough grey strips. Sear it separately first, rest it, then slice thin against the grain and lay it on top at the end. The rice also needs five minutes with the lid on after the flame goes off, completely undisturbed, so the steam distributes evenly instead of leaving crunchy and wet patches. Tender steak.
