My partner and I recently discovered we’re polyamorous, during pride month. 🏳️‍🌈 When we initially decided on being a couple we were fortunate enough to discuss the uncomfortable topics in regards to partners, dynamics, and sexuality. I grew up knowing I was pansexual, yet unable to fully express my queerness until recently, also during pride. I’ve had sexual and emotional attraction to more than one partner in my lifetime, and my partner also felt the same. We allowed those feelings to guide us, transparently. They had an encounter with a very attractive older woman at my gig, while I had slowly developed feelings for a couple I told him about from the beginning of our relationship. I noticed how happy they were and approved, which gave me the nudge to be more forward with the couple I really like. So far it’s been going well. There is so much you learn about yourself and your relationship, and I believe the fact we are secure with ourselves and honest helps our foundation the most. The NRE definitely has been an interesting experience. We’re remaining calm, yet optimistic, that the dynamics we’re now apart of may continue to evolve as we continue to live and experience connections with intention.
