I know that Father’s day is only a Sunday week away but I figured I should post these silver fox daddies now since I’ll be on vacation. But anyhoo. Here are the Monster Hunter Dads of Selenic Rebellion! You guys are already been familiar with Yui’s father, Seiji Komori, at least my own rewritten version of him cuz f his canon Rejet version , since I did wanted him to be the Ethan Winters of the SR au in trying to get home to Yui while taking down Karlheinz’s vampire associates. Also compared to the others, my design of Seiji didn’t change all that much from how I first redesign him, I just added in some of his og design from the DL manga story, such as his growing beard stumble, to make him more older. As for the other man next to Seiji? Well, you guys remember that I mentioned a few times of the teacher/father figure that took Mitsuru, Shinji, and Kaoru under his wing and adopted them as his own children? That’s actually him . And just like them, he too also happens to be a Selenic Sage, albeit one who is an experienced veteran. (And yes before anyone asks: Atticus does indeed look like Reverse Gabriel Agreste from MLB, but better.) His name Atticus, who lives under the japanese citizen alias of Gaku Yamato, a single parent lawyer, literature lover, and academic researcher within Kaminashi City, often finding himself invested in his work and can be sometimes emotionally distant and standoffish at first glance. It also doesn’t help with how he keeps his eyes always closed despite himself saying he isn’t blind ( something of which only he and his children knows exactly why ). Yet that never stops him from showing compassion and empathy for others, especially with how Gaku is paying attention and teaches his kids at every opportunity. Often nicknamed as “Teacher” both by his peers and his students/children in public due to his charisma and wisdom of both emotional and logical intellect. As well as being the prime mentor for Mitsuru, Shinji, and Kaoru, who all happen to be trained and learn under his teachings alongside importing life lessons of compassion, justice, and the necessity of understanding other’s perspectives while also making sure to acknowledge mankind’s darker misdeeds without having to downplay or sympathize them and only cut them out should they refuse to change and continue to hurt innocent lives. All in all. He’s both a hard-working firm yet warm-hearted and nurturing father figure to the three children he adopted under his wing and proud and fierce solidarity warrior throughout his years in the face of the Hollows and it’s Revenants. And as such, he’s is the one who kickstarts the events of the SR au to investigate away (but not before lending out his research to them) from his students in response to the rumors of young teenage (orphaned) girls who had either disappeared or murdered in the city; All of which had both been connected to being last seen going to an isolated manor and the conversations from the Ryotei Academy teachers of a girl who was with the Sakamaki Brothers. @ultravioletqueen , @julix41-blog , @maou-the-tree , @my-multi-fandom-blog , @damzelknight , @paru-paru-parfait8 , @lovelyllamasblog , @queen-of-twisted
Antonio and Neferkaret These two characters are Julio Antonio of Valerium on the left and his lover Pharaoh Neferkaret of Khumet on the right. They are of course inspired by the historical Antony and Cleopatra, but they are my own creations who hail from a fictional world. As Pharaoh of Khumet, Neferkaret wishes to restore her ancient civilization to its former greatness while fending off the encroaching Valerian Republic. For that reason, she has formed an alliance with Antonio against his political rivals, but this relationship has since grown into a genuine romantic bond…much to the consternation of many both in Valerium and Khumet. I have already written one short story starring these characters, but it’s undergoing the review and revision process right now.
My fairy OCs (and selfsona) as: High School girls! (These drawings below are kind-of-old btw and were originally posted on both DeviantArt and Instagram): [English] Well, this is the first time I show anything related to my full-on OCs in this blog, so I have to admit I’m a little nervous about it, hehe… Anyway, in case you didn’t know (yet), these three fairies are mine—these two, along with my selfsona [Gina], are my OCs Edrielle Imagina and Gail Grayscale, characters from my original universe called “Imaginaverse”. They’ve existed for quite some time (since mid-2024), but anyway, I’m getting sidetracked, so I’ll get straight into the context… which is quite a lot: You see, this whole concept started as just three sketches I did for an art challenge based on the Channel Schools AU created by @mespoinathecultleader , where I put my selfsona and my two fairy OCs in some of these cute uniforms (also made by her btw); so yeah, it’s not the first time I’ve done something like this. Anyways, shortly after those sketches, I decided to make character sheets for each of them and posted said sheets, just to give an idea of what they’d be like in a different setting/world and circumstances than their original universe. To be honest, it was really fun to me imagining Edrielle and Gail (who in their canon universe live as housemates in a grayscale world and are 20 and 21, respectively) as high school teenage girls in an established queerplatonic relationship lol—but I’m getting sidetracked… again. Now, as you might have guessed, I drew them in this AU again; why? Actually, the answer is pretty simple: Gina’s current design and the current Pride Month. Since my selfsona received a significant redesign in January, I soon realized (and by “soon” I mean while drawing her in that Disney Prep uniform after months) that she also needed a redesign in her AU version, especially since in the previous design, Gina appeared to have straight hair (when she’s actually curly-haired). So, that’s what I did, and while I was at it, I also drew my two precious fairies. As for the second reason, that’s because ALL three fairies are AroAce in one way or another—plain and simple. And well, that’s all. Honestly, doing all of this was really exciting and a great way to play with my OCs (and my “mini-me”). I’ve never had this much fun with an AU like this in my entire life, and I’ll never have enough words to describe how grateful I am for its mere existence :) [Español] Bueno, esta es la primera vez que muestro alguna cosa relacionada con mis OC de pura cepa en este blog, así que he de admitir que estoy un poco nerviosa al respecto jeje… En fin, en caso de que no lo sepas (aún), estas tres haditas son mías—siendo esas dos al lado de mi selfsona [Gina] mis OC Edrielle Imagina y Gail Grayscale, personajes de un universo original mío llamado “Imaginaverso”. Ellas dos existen desde hace un buen tiempo (desde mediados del 2024), pero bueno, me estoy desviando, así que iré directamente al contexto… el cual es demasiado: Verán, al principio todo este concepto fue simplemente tres bocetos que hice para un reto artístico basado en el AU de Escuelas de Canales creado por Mespoina, donde puse a mi selfsona y mis dos OC haditas en algunos de estos lindos uniformes (también hechos por ella, por cierto); así que sí, no es la primera vez que he hecho algo como esto. En fin, entonces poco después de dichos bocetos, decidí hacer unas hojas de personaje para cada una y publicarlas, solo pa’ dar una idea de cómo serían en un entorno/mundo y circunstancias distintas a en su universo original. La verdad que fue divertido imaginar a Edrielle y Gail (quienes en su universo canon viven como compañeras de casa en un mundo de pura escala de grises y tienen 20 y 21, respectivamente) como colegialas de preparatoria en una relación queerplatónica ya establecida XD—pero me estoy desviando… de nuevo. Ahora, como ya es de suponer, las dibujé en este AU de nuevo; ¿por qué? De hecho, la respuesta es bastante simple: el diseño actual de Gina y el mes del orgullo actual. Como mi selfsona recibió un rediseño notable en enero, al rato me di cuenta (y con “al rato” me refiero a mientras la dibujaba en ese uniforme de Disney Prep después de meses) que también necesitaba un cambio de apariencia en su versión del AU, sobretodo porque en el diseño anterior, Gina parecía tener el pelo liso (cuando ella es rizada). Así que, eso fue lo que hice y, de paso, también dibujé a mis dos haditas preciosas. Y con respecto a la segunda razón, eso es porque TODAS las tres haditas son AroAce de alguna u otra manera—así de simple. Y bueno, eso es todo. Honestamente, haber hecho todo esto fue realmente emocionante y una gran manera de jugar con mis OC (y mi “mini-yo”). Nunca me había divertido así con un AU de este estilo en toda mi vida y jamás tendré las palabras suficientes para describir lo mucho que agradezco su mera existencia :)
have there been any Catch Attempt Gone Horribly Wrong incidents? how did the group handle them?
I feel like the guys are so cautious that (until recent insanity) they’ve erred on the side of missing people. That said, I could totally see there having been an incident, maybe in the early years with one of the long-since-retired guys, where he slept with another player who fully does not think he’s queer. Like, yeah, I sucked him off but just as bros. And the guy in the club was like, hey, there’s other people you could talk to about this, and the bad catch is like, about what? We’re just bros being dudes no homo, right? And in that case, the rest of the club would never even find out about this guy, because they don’t out people to each other.
i think i’m going to do a daily (but maybe not actually daily) character spotlight for gallifreyan buccaneers. each spotlight will provide some basic info about one of the characters i’ve developed for the show so far (each incarnation of sybos and urlivak will have individual spotlights, seeing as the two of them are the stars of the show). so, without further ado, here’s the first character spotlight! delia of the jade dreamers belongs (surprise surprise) to the house of jade dreamers. his childhood dream was to join the sisterhood of karn, but (as the name implies) they don’t really accept boys so he decided to become an historian instead. he specialises in the past culture and traditions of gallifrey, so he’s also a bit of an anthropologist. delia was close friends with sybos and urlivak at the academy (though urlivak privately harboured an intense dislike of him, for personal reasons). he’s also the namesake of this blog’s url!
The Colours (Canon Theory) Tagging @dontwanttobeanamericanidiot (Hi Sam ❤️) My cousin’s kid asked about the colours (she’s 16, it was a ‘is this a thing, you did media’ question) and yes, there are reasons why the characters, specifically the main 5 have the colours they have. Part of the main 5’s colours did stem from Tumblr’s choice of colour text options, I can’t really understand html stuff easily, I tend to stick with plain-text editors. TL;DR: Colour Theory, yay, It’s been 7-8 years since I was in college, wow I feel old. Now pls read it I put 2 hours into writing this. Angel Angel is red because red , as we learn in media studies, is often used to represent characters who are either bold and brave, or emotional and hotheaded, I wanted Angel (I should really be calling him Ángel) to be this sort-of headstrong self-titled leader, the kind of man who people don’t know if he’s really in the right head-space to be the leader, he’s got this sort-of 'righteous fire’ in his heart 'cause he thinks the organisation they work for is ultimately good. March March is blue , 'cause blue (I’m one again using my college research from like 7-8 years ago) is the tranquil one, but because blue is the colour of the ocean it holds depth, and anger, and I wanted March to be the kind of guy who has many, many layers to his emotions, he always seems calm, always looks happy, but behind closed doors he’s a deeply closed off guy trying to make sure everyone’s happy before he is. Sid Sid is orange . Orange is a weird colour to pick for a security agent. But, Sid, he’s an orange guy (not in a Trump-ian way, Sid would never get that level of spray tan). In colour theory and media, we are taught that Orange is the up-beat energetic colour (hence Mikey in all versions of TMNT), but it’s also used in a biblical way to represent gluttony, and what does Sid want, he wants what he can’t have, he wants Church is a very sinful way, and he gets so jealous, Sid’s guilty of sins, but Sid hides this with humour, and with his no-nonsense energy. Poe Poe’s green 'cause aliens are green , lol. I’m kidding, but also a lil bit yeah, green can be used to represent inexperience (if you’ve ever heard a wrestler described as green , it’s usually cause they’re young or new), but green can also be youthful and vigorous, and Poe is the newest, not the youngest, member of S.P.O out of the main 5, so he’s the ’ greenest ’ guy they have. Poe, alongside Church is where we start to see the colour themes get played with a bit, Poe’s still relatively new at the start of the story, so he has yet to fill his very green shoes, metaphorically speaking. Church Church is a woman, yes, but she isn’t pink because of her feminine nature. Church gets pink as she’s innocent to the world, she’s been with S.P.O the longest, not by choice, she’s never really had a 'life’ outside of the organisation, pink is also used for those with a delicate nature, and due to Church’s psychic powers, she can’t be skin-on-skin with anyone, so she’s very light-handed with what she touches, the smallest touch of a person (including post-mortem) and she’s aware of things she (or they) might not want her to know. Church is also an example of inverting colour choices, as her association with pink is in some ways, ironic, she’s not a healthy woman, nor is she particularly romantic, she’s not aromantic, she just doesn’t really understand how flirting works, nor a 'relationship’ (she was raised in a [REDACTED] , fine, S.P.O, her family was like Charles Manson)
Allie will randomly go “cryptid mode” whenever she’s upset with her family. Her presence will be felt throughout the house but no one knows where she is at any given moment, they know she’s eating because food will go missing from the kitchen at random points but they can’t guarantee much else. Steph will reach a point where she just starts talking out loud like “I don’t know if you’re listening right now but I’m sorry about what I said and I will be saying this in every room in the house for the next 24 hours.” The twist is that Carter knows where she hides, he always finds her, but he’s not a snitch. He’ll bring her cold leftovers from dinner because he doesn’t want her to go hungry but he’s still being petty. One time Justin was fully convinced he had adopted a cat and didn’t tell anyone and Allie was so offended she exposed herself on the spot. After a while she’ll just show up to breakfast one morning half asleep and ignore the lectures.
now that Lorenzo is the mythical gay Chicago player, who is the most in the middle of nowhere for the club? I'd assume it's an ahl guy but I do not have them well-mapped in my mind
He became the myth….. And we don’t have anyone TOO remote right now, since Gordy and Eastman are gonna be right next to each other. They probably won’t see much of anyone besides each other and Rozanov, though! Danilov would be top of the chart if he wasn’t regularly getting called up to the MLH, but when he’s in Cleveland… slim pickings. Villa won’t be full-time MLH this year either, and we know he’s focusing hard on his game so he can move up, so he won’t be driving up to see his boyfriend every week this year… He and Williams will see each other a lot when he’s in the AHL, though! And Williams may still be AHL, but he’s adjacent to LA, which has two MLH teams, so he’s doing alright.
feel free to omit anything that would be spoilers, but: which pairings of guys DON'T hook up with each other? bonus points if there are any that don't/won't hook up BUT would both want to?
Oh, this is a GREAT question. Most of them will hook up, especially if there’s more than two guys in the mix. Even if they aren’t super sexually compatible, casual intimacy and fooling around is usually on the table. But…. a few exceptions: Paulsen won’t hook up with a lot of the younger guys: Kowalski, Villa, Shane, Ilya, definitely not the newest rookies. Archer is drawing the line at Shane and Ilya’s year. Vrubel also draws the line at Shane & Ilya. He’s a little more standoffish with emotional intimacy and prefers to bottom, so he generally won’t go out of his way to meet up with other guys who bottom (Price, Lorenzo, Martin, Kowalski). Kallio is the exception - they’re good friends but don’t have sex. Casey and McGee don’t play each other often and are usually too pissed off to even meet up. The sex would be INSANE if they could stand each other. Playing almost exclusively in Tucson so far, Villa has never overlapped with Casey (Pittsburgh), which is probably no great loss. Big age AND temperment gap between these two. Ilya is doing a lot less of the playful/intimate hooking up compared to Shane, so he doesn’t hook up with other guys who exclusively top (Casey, Berggren). He still meets up with them, though! And, of course, our newbies Gordy and Eastman are very low on meetups in general, with the exception of Lorenzo and McGee. Hmmm how will they handle being 45 minutes away from each other all next season… 🤔 maybe they’ll find something to pass the time 🤔
