The Princess Bride Tarot Deck Looking for a tarot deck that says “As you wish” and then immediately tells you the uncomfortable truth? The Princess Bride Tarot is officially licensed, fully illustrated, and absolutely unbothered about calling you out. Fencing, fighting, monsters, escapes, true love, miracles… and now tarot. This deck turns the cult classic film into a 78-card reading experience that feels like stepping straight into Florin. 🃏 Fully illustrated Minors (rare for film decks!) 🗡️ Goblets, Florins, Wands, Swords 🎬 Actual film scenes = each card It’s gorgeous, but not always “RWS obvious” at first glance. 💭 First impression: immersive fairytale energy 🧠 Reality check: this deck does NOT ease you in gently My first card was the Two of Swords. It immediately said: “So… we’re making decisions today, are we?” 📖 Guidebook vibe: Friendly, chatty, very “you’ve got this” energy Meanings stay close to traditional tarot, just with more swashbuckling ⚠️ Skill level note: Not ideal as a first deck unless you already know tarot OR love the film enough to decode it intuitively. 🔥 In readings: Shockingly blunt. Like… “are you SURE about that choice?” blunt. Best for: decisions clarity pulls “tell me the truth and don’t be nice about it” 🎯 Final verdict: A deck that looks like nostalgia and behaves like a brutally honest friend who quotes Westley while judging your life choices.
THE MAGICIAN The Magician represents awakened potential and conscious creation. He stands as the channel between heaven and earth, directing divine inspiration into the material world. Where the Fool carries pure possibility, the Magician understands that intention combined with focus becomes reality. Imagery and Symbols Raised Wand: Channel of divine energy, linking inspiration from above to action in the physical world. THE HIGH PRIESTESS The High Priestess represents sacred inner knowing and the quiet power of intuition. She sits at the threshold between the visible world and the unseen mysteries, guarding wisdom that cannot be forced but must be received. Where the Magician acts through will and skill, the High Priestess listens, observes, and understands that truth often reveals itself in silence. She reminds us that deep wisdom emerges when the mind becomes still and receptive. Imagery and Symbols The Veil Behind Her: A curtain decorated with pomegranates that separates the conscious world from hidden spiritual knowledge. It represents mysteries that can only be revealed through intuition and inner awareness. Pillars (B and J): The black and white pillars symbolize duality, balance, and the gateway to sacred knowledge. They represent opposing forces such as light and shadow, logic and intuition. Moon Crown: The crescent moons resting on her crown represent psychic awareness, lunar cycles, and the power of feminine wisdom connected to the rhythms of nature. Scroll or Sacred Text: Often marked with the word “Tora,” symbolizing hidden teachings and esoteric knowledge that is not fully visible to everyone. Blue Robes: Spiritual depth, calm awareness, and connection to the subconscious mind. Water at Her Feet: The flowing water represents the subconscious mind, intuition, and the emotional depths that influence perception and insight. Pomegranates: Symbol of fertility, sacred knowledge, and hidden wisdom connected to ancient spiritual traditions. Number Two (II): Duality, balance, partnership, and the meeting point between conscious thought and inner knowing. Upright Meaning Intuition: Trusting inner guidance and subtle messages from the subconscious mind. Inner Wisdom: Deep understanding that arises from reflection, patience, and observation. Mystery: Not all answers are meant to be revealed immediately. Some truths require time and stillness. Spiritual Awareness: Heightened sensitivity to dreams, symbols, and hidden patterns. Receptivity: Allowing insight to arrive naturally rather than forcing decisions through logic alone. Reversed Meaning Blocked Intuition: Ignoring inner signals or doubting intuitive insight. Hidden Truths: Information is being concealed or not fully revealed. Disconnection: Loss of trust in inner guidance or becoming too dependent on external opinions. Secrets: Something important may be withheld or misunderstood. Inner Confusion: Difficulty accessing clarity due to emotional noise or distraction. Get your tarot cheat sheets here!
THE FOOL The Fool isn’t foolish at all, he’s the raw spark of possibility. He’s the inhale before the leap, the barefoot wanderer at the cliff’s edge, trusting the universe to catch him. Imagery and symbols White rose: Innocence, devotion to pure intent Mountains in the Distance: Aspirations, challenges yet to come, the promise of growth through trials. Cliff: Risk, the uncharted horizon calling your name Dog: Instinct, loyal alarm, a bark that tests your courage Sun: Blessing, optimism, grace in broad daylight Knapsack: Minimalism, portable dreams, what you trust yourself to carry Feather: Divine nudge, lightness, a vow to stay curious Number Zero (0): The circle of eternity, infinite potential, the unmanifest. It’s the “nothing and everything” that frames the Fool’s journey. Upright Meaning Beginnings: A fresh start, new journey, or opportunity calling you forward. Trust: Faith in the universe, surrender to divine timing. Freedom: Liberation from expectations, rules, or past burdens. Curiosity: Playfulness, openness to learning, innocence of spirit. Risk: Courage to leap without guarantees, guided by instinct and optimism. Reversed Meaning Naive: Blind risk-taking, ignoring warnings or practical realities.
