I love museum/zoo gift shops. It’s awesome getting to see so many dinosaur plushies in one place. I went to this one at the Memphis zoo that was in a tent at the end of the dinosaur area. I didn’t get to look around much so idk what all was there, plus I already had my sights set on a big fennec fox plush at the main giftshop.

I have a GREAT idea for museums and art galleries. Make edible versions of exhibits. Gummy version of Venus of Willendorf. Make a paste candy and put it in an oil paint looking tube. Crystal rock candy but it’s modeled after actual crystals! I want to eat Bismuth!!! You know those scorpion lolipops? That but make it look like an ammonite fossil!!! It would be so cool!!!

The Wolfsonian Design Store + Coffee Bar, 1001 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139 This is a very cute gift shop with an emphasis on design. The merchandise is attractively displayed, e.g., a shelf devoted to cat merchandise and another to marine creatures. I did notice that most of the merchandise was cutesy and geared towards children, while the museum is geared towards adults. Also, most of the merchandise wasn’t local but could be found at other gift shops. You’ll find cute stickers, puzzles, toys, design books, greeting cards, tote bags, Jellycat plushies (including rare ones), keychains, vases, jewelry, etc. There’s also a coffee bar inside and seating. 4 out of 5 stars By Lolia S.
