REZ - Innocent Blood (Grrr Records, 1989) Found In: PDSA (Shirley, Southampton) Price: 50p When I picked this up, I couldn’t work out from the title and cover art whether this was going to be Christian rock or noise metal. I checked the track listing but honestly that didn’t make it any clearer. It’s Christian rock. And honestly? It unironically slaps. Not enough to get me to give up my life of Heathenry and go to church, but you know. Good enough to groove to. Tracklist:- Rooster Crow Altar of Pain The House Is on Fire 80,000 Underground Fiend or Foul Where Roses Grow Right on Time Child of the Blues Laughing Man Bargain Great God in Heaven
RIP My thrifted sandals From like a couple months ago to this Sunday. You lived your life and served me good for the rest of it. Cobbler said there’s no fixing you but he’ll reuse the bits he can from you so you can keep being of use. Gone but never forgotten </3
Various Artists - Still Got the Blues (Crimson Productions, 1997) Found In: Farplace Animal Rescue (Woolston, Southampton) Price: 33⅓p (3 for £1) Black-and-white photo of a sad pouty lady on the cover notwithstanding, this is a compilation of iconic blues rock - not the “my baby got me down” kind of blues. Which, as a lover of both who’s just got back on the right side of a depressive episode, suits me just fine. Literally got this just for Gary Moore because I have fond childhood memories of long rainy car journeys with the Gary Moore discography playing, but I can never find any Gary Moore anywhere. It truly is a desert out there. Tracklist:- Pride & Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan Mannish Boy - Muddy Waters Black Magic Woman - Fleetwood Mac Smokestack Lightnin’ - Howlin’ Wolf Still Got the Blues (For You) - Gary Moore Statesboro Blues - Taj Mahal Walkin’ to My Baby - The Fabulous Thunderbirds Stormy Monday - Little Milton Smoking Gun - Robert Cray Papa Ain’t Salty - T. Bone Walker All Your Love - John Mayall’s Blues Breakers feat. Eric Clapton Just Your Fool - Little Walter The Thrill Has Gone - B.B. King I’ve Got Love If You Want It - John Hammond Don’t Start Me Talking - Sonny Boy Williamson Calling Card - Rory Gallagher Dimples - John Lee Hooker I Think I Got the Blues - Sonny Terry, Johnny Winter & Willie Dixon Walking by Myself - Jimmy Rogers A Fool for Your Stockings - ZZ Top

06/08/26: Monday thrift store finds! Been laying low for a few days after my big gamestop purchase last week. Plus, I had rent and bills too. Today, I went thrifting after work instead of before. At Salvation Army before they closed for the day, I found a clamshell VHS copy of Three Musketeers Disney Live-action for a buck. Never really expected it in that type of case. So I got it. At goodwill I got a $4 and two $6 dollar shirts and two volumes of manga My Hero Academia for a dollar each. And womenhaven thrift store was the winner. I found some books and graphic novels for $1 and $2 each. A Tales from the Crypt VHS for a dollar and A Nightmare on Elm Street dvd set for $4. I’m a happy guy!
