CFMoto Superbike allegedly sets new Chinese Top-Speed Record with 315 km/h CFMoto has reportedly set a new Chinese motorcycle top-speed record with its CFMoto V4 SR-RR. The Superbike was unveiled at the 2025 edition of EICMA and immediately attracted attention due to its aggressive design and high-performance specifications. During a recent high-speed test, the V4 SR-RR allegedly reached 315.82 km/h, setting what is claimed to be a new top-speed record for a Chinese-built production-based motorcycle. As with any manufacturer-run speed test, questions remain regarding the testing conditions and independent verification of the result. Nevertheless, the figure would not come as a major surprise given the rapid progress Chinese manufacturers have made in recent years in both technology and performance.
Mathew Scholtz dominates Barber 2026 Race Weekend Moto America held the second round of its 2026 season at Barber Motorsports Park, where Mathew Scholtz delivered a commanding performance by winning both Superbike races of the weekend. Mathew Scholtz controlled the races with impressive pace and consistency, securing what Scholtz described as his first double victory in the Superbike category. Mathew Scholtz admitted after the event that he was still surprised by the level of performance shown throughout the weekend. As Scholtz stated. “Yeah, I mean, I think it’s the first double on the Superbike for me. You know, just kind of still shocked with how things went. And I got out front, maintained a pretty decent pace. I knew that I had to get past PJ as soon as I could and kind of pulled out to a 1.5-second gap, and it stayed there for three or four laps, and then it suddenly jumped by one-and-a-half seconds, so I kind of knew something happened then. I saw Beaubier pulling it into the pits, and then, I just kind of settled into a pretty decent rhythm out there. The gap just got bigger and bigger, and, you know, brought it home in first place. I’m still just shook with how this year’s gone so far, but we’re gonna start to head west, to some tracks that aren’t my favorite, so I’m sure that we’re going to have our work cut out for us there. But overall, I’m just really pumped with how things have gone so far.”
8Ten Racing BMW withdraws from 2026 British Superbike Championship 8Ten Racing BMW has announced its withdrawal from the 2026 B S B Championship following a difficult season affected by injuries to both of its riders. The team, co-owned by Peter Hickman and Davey Todd, entered 2026 with ambitious plans. However, those plans were heavily disrupted by injury setbacks. Peter Hickman was still dealing with the effects of the serious crash he suffered at the Isle of Man TT in 2025, while Todd sustained injuries at the Daytona 200 earlier this year. As a result, Todd was forced to miss both the North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT. Despite Hickman’s strong performances when he was able to compete, the team has decided to end its full-time British Superbike campaign for 2026. However, 8Ten Racing has confirmed that it will not disappear completely. Instead, the team intends to continue competing on a selective basis and is expected to appear at certain events later in the season.
Nicolo Bulega sets a new Record after Most 2026 with 20 consecutive wins Nicolo Bulega arrived at the Most 2026 race weekend as the overwhelming favourite and once again delivered a dominant performance in the world sbk. After already establishing a new championship record with 17 consecutive victories at the previous round, Nicolo Bulega further extended the streak at Most by winning all three races across the weekend. His latest triumphs increase his remarkable run to 20 consecutive victories. Nicolo Bulega expressed satisfaction not only with the results, but also with the level of performance achieved by both himself and the team. As Bulega stated. “In the end, I won again and I’m very happy with my performance. We were much faster in the race than last year and have reached a very high level. We mustn’t forget that I’m only at the beginning of my third year in the Superbike World Championship. And yet I’ve already achieved great success, which I’m very proud of. I have a very good team and a very good motorcycle; with them, I can reach my full potential. I have everything under control and can push whenever I want. The fact that I had that feeling in Balaton and Most is especially important to me, because those tracks aren’t exactly perfect for my riding style. I can’t just go for it there; I have to think things through. And when you think, you lose a few tenths of a second. That’s why I’m looking forward to Aragon—it’s a track I like. At least on paper, I should be better there than on the last two tracks. I hope to be able to keep it up.”
Miguel Oliveira reflects on difficult Return Weekend at Misano 2026 Miguel Oliveira returned to action at Misano after missing the Most and Aragon rounds due to injuries sustained at Balaton Park. Despite not finishing the second race, Miguel Oliveira was pleased with his performance, having scored points in both Race 1 and the Superpole Race while still dealing with significant pain. As Oliveira said. “The fact that I managed to complete the 21 laps on Saturday was quite an achievement. On Sunday morning, I woke up in pain and felt downhearted. I had to cut the warm-up short because I couldn’t manage the last two laps – it was that bad. In the Superpole race, I somehow managed to complete the ten laps, even if I wasn’t at 100 per cent for every one. But at least I was able to secure a decent position. In the afternoon, it quickly became clear to me that I was feeling the same as I had in the warm-up and that I wouldn’t be able to race.”
Bimota Kawasaki secures first BSB Podium at Donington Park 2026 Bimota Kawasaki expanded their superbike programme for 2026 by entering the British Superbike Championship. Remarkably, the project achieved its first podium result during only the second event of the season at Donington Park. Rider Max Cook delivered an impressive weekend performance, finishing second in the opening race before adding two third-place finishes in races two and three. The results marked the first podium appearances for the Bimota Kawasaki project in the championship. Max Cook expressed satisfaction with both the performance of the motorcycle and the team’s progress throughout the weekend. As Cook stated. “Overall I’m really happy with the result. The bike was working good. Even up to the end, you know, things started to heat up a little bit, and it was nice to be there and be part of that.”
