Merhaba dostlar, bu kültürel döngümüzde belki klasik gelecektir ama Dünyanın Yeni Yedi Harikasından biri olan Machu Picchu’yu ziyaret edeceğiz. En çok ilgi çeken bilgilerden biri bu antik şehrin 300 yıl boyunca ‘’kayıp’’ olmasıdır. İnkaların Kayıp Şehri, Machu Picchu. Peru’nun Cusco Bölgesi’nde yer alır ve 2380 metre yükseklikte inşa edilmiştir. 1983 yılında ise UNESCO Machu Picchu'yu dünyanın mirası olarak ilan etmiştir. 7 Temmuz 2007 de ise Dünyanın Yeni Yedi Harikasının arasına girmiştir. İspanyolların Peru'yu işgal ettikleri 1532 yılından beri aradığı efsanevi şehir, ancak 1911 yılında bulunabilmiştir. Şehrin kalıntıları 24 Temmuz 1911 tarihinde, Amerikalı Hiram Bingham idaresindeki Yale Üniversitesi'nin yaptığı bir bilimsel gezi sırasında tesadüfen bulunmuştur. Bingham aslında, 1536 yılında İspanyol istilacı Pizarro'dan kaçan İnkalar'ın saklandığı ve direnişin son kalesi olan İnka şehri Vilcabamba'yı aramaktaydı. 2011 yılında alınan karardan sonra, yapının zarar görmemesi için günlük olarak en fazla 2500 ziyaretçi kabul edilir.En güzel ziyaret edilmesi gereken zamanlar Mayıs ve Ekim arası olarak tavsiye edilmektedir. Aslında bu 2500 kişilik sınır UNESCO tarafından 1000'e düşürülmeye çalışıldı ama maalesef başarılı olunamadı. Yıllık ziyaretçi sayısı ortalama 400.000 olarak gösterilmektedir. Şehrin inşasının bakmış olduğum kaynaklara göre 25 ile 50 yıl arasında tamamlandığı söylenmektedir ama ne yazık ki bu kadar uzun sürede tamamlanan şehirde İnkalar yalnızca 100 yıl yaşayabilmişlerdir. Şehrin terk edilmesinin sebebinin çiçek hastalığı salgını olduğu bilinmektedir. İspanyolların, İnka İmparatorluğunu ele geçirmelerinden sonra şehir 300 yıl boyunca “kayıp” olarak kalmıştır. Bu Dünya Harikası şehrin 300 yıl boyunca kayıp olarak kalması, İnkaların mükemmel taş işçiliğini tamamıyla görmemizi de sağlamıştır. Şehrin en ilginç yapısı İntihuatana yani Güneş Taşıdır, bu taş güneş hareketlerini izlemekte ve astronomik olayları belirlemekte kullanılmaktaydı. This was my first camel ride . 🐪 Riding a camel is fun, but there are few things you might want to know that I had to learn. 1️⃣ not all camel rides are comfortable… look for camels with saddles / cushion 2️⃣ when climbing the camel as it stands do like Fat Joe said, LEAN back … this is the hardest part. 3️⃣ Once you’re on, sway with the camel, not against it. & don’t forget to wear loose, long sleeve clothes.
