Fun fact: Originally in the Horton Hears A Who 2008 movie before they came up with the dentist scene when Horton’s on the bridge they had an idea called The Whos Snooze. Sadly we don’t know ANYTHING about this deleted idea other than the words of the directors themselves saying “The whos took a nap in the day” which is pretty interesting idea and I wish we knew more about this deleted idea. But what do you THINK.

(Mayzie is about to have a girls’ night out in the jungle. She turns on some “runway” music.) Mayzie : Jane? (Jane hops in and poses.) Mayzie: Jane’s wearing floral-print pumps and a rack-tastic red dress from Forever 21. (Gertrude trots in, trying to look sassy.) Mayzie: And there’s Gertrude, showing all kinds of ankle. In an outfit I’m assuming is from Forever 63. (Gertrude looks angry as Mayzie sashays forward.) Mayzie: And I, myself am wearing a little number that got me out of two speeding tickets and jury duty.

Rating various portrayals of Schmitz for Schmitz Sunday! (Don’t worry, I’ll be back to my own Schmitz’s story next week. I didn’t get the chance to play The Sims today because I was busy with housework.) I know I picked a lot of them- there’s a lot of productions and I have a lot of thoughts. I’m aware that some of these are not really rating the actors’ performances themselves, but rather the directors’ choices (like staging and costumes)- but those are a part of what makes a good character portrayal as well. And please forgive me for getting so emotional on that last one. I honestly hoped Virtual Seussical would be good. [JoJo has been unable to answer the Cat’s riddle- “What’s green, hangs on a wall and whistles?”] Cat : It’s a herring. JoJo: But a herring isn’t green. Cat: You can paint it green. Cat: Oh, come on, I just put that in to stop it from being too obvious.

I just noticed that my version of Herbie's story parallels E.B.'s (at least in the second season) quite well. The only child of a widowed single mother who then remarries and has another child with her new husband. Herbie and E.B. could totally bond over that sort of thing. Only difference is... Herbie's biological father died three months before he was born. (Actually, do we ever hear about if E.B. knew her biological father? I don't remember.)

THIS IS SO TRUE…🤔🤔I would love to see E.B amd Herbie connect through that awhh,, (HONESTLY IDK I should see if she mentions anything,,;)

Hi!!! Remember my idea for Schmitz and the Poozers in Wubbulous World? If you don't remember, here's the post where I pitched it. I've been thinking of actually retooling a specific episode of the show to see how they'd fit in it (spoiler alert- it's The Road to Ka-Larry, an episode which always kinda disturbed me, because the underlying message of that episode seemed to be "you can take whatever you want just so long as it's useful, even if it isn't yours", and that's not really a good message). Also, my birthday's in a week and I'll be back tomorrow with an update on sweet little Piper :)

Thought I’d finalize my design for Vlad Vladikoff- and it evolved into this big doodle dump! My design for him is mostly inspired by his appearances in the book and both movies, with one small nod to the version of the musical I was in- he has two dark markings above his eyes that look like aviator goggles! There’s a lot of scenes in this bunch- including him as a cute little eaglet, him in the Seuss style, some expression practice, a couple of scenes of him palling around with the Wickershams (one of which is a Big Bang Theory reference), and even a reference to a video I made backstage with one of my fellow cast members during our production’s run!

MICHELLEE!! don’t mind the quality</33 I love drawing her uh, I keep thinking of how her and Ned could relate🥳 I was thinking familial at first BUT !! imagine,, shes a hired painter? Either way, I noticed that Ned’s hair was similar to Michellee’s when he got married and I think that could be interesting….Ned and Michellee bond solidarity<3

Redrew the Sour Kangaroo from Horton hears a Who!

This may sound weird but does anyone else think that Yurtle the Turtle felt out of place in Seussical? Like I know that the musical is about putting all of the Dr. Seuss’s characters into one story but Yurtle just felt kinda unnecessary to be there. And in the musical he’s a judge which is so strange since in the book he’s a king of a pond so it’s kinda weird that they change his role for the musical. Also this is my opinion so please don’t hate me. But if you agree with my opinion then comment below, l’d love to see what are your thoughts on this.

Disney does this rarely, Seuss is consistent
