#report card

Overheard a colleague say they used ChatGPT to write report card comments for a kid because “he’s fine and has no problems - there was nothing to say!” And I just … Don’t do this. Ever.

Poor babyman…… I noticed him straining to poop this morning so I gave him some pro-pectalin to head it off at the pass but um…………. Too little, too late. Blow out in the kennel while I was at work 😭 He got another bath and then extended Tether Time while I cleaned his kennel. The only good thing for him tonight is his favorite chewable antidiarrheal of which I BOUGHT A FUCKING TUB after his last blow out.

I got my first term report card back and i cried so hard till i got a headache

not to be serious on the funny app, but I’ve always hated new years. even when I was a kid I’ve just always looked back and thought to myself, but what did I really do ? all this time and what do I have to show for it? i personally think it’s because i know i don’t do enough in my day-to-day. but, just for fun, here’s my recap for the year: Started a bible study Did a musical with my community theatre graduated survived the best friend breakup (in progress) started a new skill (decorating cakes) took care of my mom for a few months while she had a mystery illness took a trip out of state moved houses cleaned out my new house (mostly) got my drivers license (later than i had hoped, but oh well) did a different play (this one’s double points because I was miserable and wanted to quit from the start but I didn’t) read the Bible in one year started (barely) fixing up the house I’ll live in next

POV: you’re slowly eating anit-depressant pills (MnM’s) as you stare at your report card and realize how screwed you are when you tell you’re parents.

Ooc: Okay in case you didn’t know I’m finally free from exams soo… If I do get my report card today and everything is fine, I’ll be making a few more blogs… And emails therefore. Idk. I don’t like mixing up blogs when it’s the same base account.

The Wrankle is starting to get tired of BoBarrus so I took the time to do some training on leash (simple rule: get to the end of the leash, turn to me.) This caught on quickly so I let him off leash again and he realized that he got treats for coming back to me - how exciting! Then I discovered that the Wrankle has some resource guarding tendencies so I separated them and now he is hanging in his kennel without barking, and Garrus is practicing hold-place with me.

We had a big day today: Played some fetch with the Jolly Ball and when that got boring, walked for 1.3 miles. On our walk: I asked him to walk around a garden perimeter (very difficult, did not like it) Heeled passed a fella working his Mal in an apartment dog park (very good! Only briefly distracted by potential new friend) He offered me barkour on top of a retaining wall (more scary for me than him because it was a tall wall and I had to rescue him aka lift him off the wall) Tried The Creek again (didn’t like it much) And did down-stays as people walked by! Then we went to puppy class and he was actually locked in! We worked at Petsmart yesterday and I think that really helped. He did amazing stays and recalls - like I was able to drop the leash and walk away completely, back turned and everything. His heels were better (would that I was a better trainer) - good enough to pass but he still wants to peace out after a few steps. He also stayed in place or in a down-stay for most of class AND didn’t bark at anyone the whole class! Not a single bark! I’m actually really proud of him. Now he’s a STAR puppy, pending AKC approval.

Since Rec Room is genuinely closing down on June 1st, I got my report card and took a picture of it on my phone because no way I’m gonna just view it and then lose it forever when Rec Room actually closes And NO WAY I joined October 2, 2021, that’s almost like 5 years ago, I feel so old tbh, I thought I joined in 2022 sometime

9 weeks old - 7 days at home ✅ No messes in the kennel overnight or at work - and is actually perfect in the work kennel! Now BFFs with Dax to the point of wrestling for 30+ minutes per day. AMAZING at picking up what I am going to ask of him: for example, he always gets in the car on the passenger side then crosses over to the driver’s seat as I walk around. Twice I sat next to him and “scooted” him over to the other seat and the third time he moved over as soon as I started sitting down and has been doing it since! ❌ FOMO in the crate at home is sooool real. He also isn’t interested in food in the bowl - from my hand or otherwise used as treats, from a Kong, or scattered on the ground are all delicious… But a bowl??? It’s a little baffling. I guess I shouldn’t complain too much because it means I don’t have to use training treats lol. I just need to make sure he is eating enough. Extremely low frustration threshold and gives up pretty easily. Getting a little fussy for the first part of car rides but still zonks out after a few minutes. We have been taking little field trips every day to expose him to new sights, sounds, and things under foot and we will keep that up. I’m taking him to Puppy Bite Club this weekend, see what he thinks about that! I’m signing up for a S.T.A.R. puppy class next month :)
