Es ist wirklich unfassbar, was hier als Gefahr für die Jugend eingestuft wird. Zwei junge Männer umarmen sich, einer setzt sich auf den Schoß des anderen. Ende der Geschichte. Kein Skandal, kein Drama, kein Weltuntergang. Wenn das jugendgefährdend sein soll, dann frage ich mich ernsthaft, wie die Menschheit je das „Risiko“ von Kindergärten, Schulaulen oder Familienfeiern überlebt hat – dort sitzt schließlich ständig irgendjemand irgendwem auf dem Schoß. Vielleicht sollte Pinterest gleich auch Fotos von Omas mit Enkeln verbieten. Oder Hunden, die sich auf den Schoß legen – man weiß ja nie, ob die Jugend das verkraftet! Fazit: Wer hier eine „Gefahr“ sieht, der sieht wahrscheinlich auch im Kuschelteddy einen jugendgefährdenden Angriff auf die Moral.

Gefährlicher Schoß: Pinterest entdeckt die neue Weltbedrohung Manchmal fragt man sich, ob gewisse Plattformen vor lauter Jugendschutz noch den gesunden Menschenverstand erkennen würden, wenn er direkt vor ihnen auf dem Schoß säße. Pinterest hat es geschafft, einen harmlosen Clip – zwei junge Kerle umarmen sich, einer sitzt dem anderen auf den Schoß, fertig – als „jugendgefährdend“ einzustufen. Ja, genau: Keine Nacktheit, keine Gewalt, kein Exzess. Nur Nähe. Und das soll jetzt gefährlich sein? Wenn das Schule macht, müssen wir demnächst wohl Familienfeste unter Jugendschutz stellen, Omas vom Schoß ihrer Enkel verbannen und Sofas in die Kategorie „Hochrisiko-Möbel“ einsortieren. Wir haben den Clip und die erste Reaktion auf diesen absurden Vorfall für euch hier veröffentlicht – damit ihr selbst entscheiden könnt, ob Pinterest die Moralpolizei neu erfunden hat oder einfach nur im falschen Film gelandet ist. The Pinterest Deck That Broke My Brain (But Also Gave Me Hope) Opening Line: Scrolling Pinterest at 2 AM was a mistake. One minute I’m looking at fairy lights, the next I’m knee-deep in “floating deck” designs that would definitely collapse if I tried to DIY them. The Problem: Our backyard is a sad patch of grass that turns into a swamp when it rains. I want a deck—something with space for a grill, a couple of Adirondack chairs, and maybe a fire pit. But Marshfield’s weather (salt air, nor’easters, that one random hurricane scare every August) means I can’t just slap some boards together and call it a day. The Discovery: I ended up on South Shore Decks Corp.’s homepage , which was weirdly comforting. No vague promises, just clean photos of decks that actually look like they belong here—sturdy, weatherproof, and not trying to be a Malibu rooftop. One even had a built-in bench that doubles as storage (genius for hiding soggy pool towels). Takeaways: Material matters. Their gallery taught me that composite decking = no splinters + no yearly staining. Elevation is key. Half their projects are slightly raised, which solves my swampy-yard issue. I am not a carpenter. The more I read, the more I accepted that this is a hire-a-pro situation. Closing Thought: Maybe my Pinterest board isn’t a lost cause after all. Just needs a reality check—and a local expert.

Yesterday we celebrated the birth of my almost 9 year old in Pokémon style! His birthday party was held in our church gym, we ordered pizza, and @mattmcclure was in charge of all the games. It was simple and so much fun! See Highlight InstaStory titled “Pokémon Party” for more fun. Lots of energy from 17 little 9 year olds. ⚡️ 🎂 This was the first year I splurged and hired someone else to bake and decorate the cake. Between my two kids, I’ve made 19 gluten free birthday cakes, making sure they were free from artificial ingredients and safe for everyone to eat. A true labor of love. And I do mean labor. It’s hasn’t always been easy, making them cute and yummy. Some years, it was either one or the other-lol. 🎂 Now I do enjoy gluten free baking, but man. It was such a luxury for someone else to do it for me! @coffeehouseoncherrystreet is the best gluten free bakery in town and they did not disappoint! It was worth every hard earned cent invested into my peace and sanity, freeing me to be more present and just enjoy the days leading up to the party that much more. 🎂 When I called to place the order, I requested red velvet, which is #supermaven’s favorite type of cake, but asked if they could make the icing yellow to match the Pokémon Pikachu theme. They agreed, but said they do not do themed cake decorations. However, please know their cakes and pies are always gorgeous. I figured, no problem. I will just find little Pokémon toys at the dollar store to use as a cake topper. Never found them. But when I went to pick up this yummy cake, they told me they had a surprise. When I peeked inside and saw Pikachu peeking back at me, I squealed out loud! It was the most darling, most beautiful act of kindness for this boy mama. 🎂 What amazing customer service from CHOCS. Truly the best. We have been and will continue to always be loyal happy customers! Thank you CHOCS, from a GF mama and two GF kids who love your cookies and cake! 🎂 I still made my traditional GF cookies. My kids love them and I had a frozen batch of dough to roll, cut and bake in the freezer saved from our last party.
