Hal from the novel Everfree by Nick Sagan I honestly don’t think I could put my view on religion any better than that. If you find comfort in faith and it helps you do good for people, that’s great. Just don’t think you can ‘convert’ me. I’ve had friends who were Catholics(a surprising number of them, actually) and friends who were hardcore atheists. And we were friends because none of them tried to suck me into their beliefs. We fought more about politics(goddamn Republicans everywhere I look). Now, if I could someday find the balls to ‘come out’ to my family about being an atheist(one closet of many for me), I’d love to use this quote.
