houston, wtv ur name is An entry on acid realizing, i was a caged bird I own a blue and gold macaw. One thing I love about her is her feathers, the way they shine in the light, feathers like I had never seen before. Feathers I collected from the bottom of her cramped cage every time we visited my grand parents. When my grandpa became too old to care for her she went to my father. She got a bigger cage but lacked interaction. My dad went to jail so now she belongs to me until further notice. When my dad went to jail i told my now ex boyfriend, that he needed to meet him prior to him going to jail. He agreed, he promised even. He promised he would meet him the day before we drove him to prison. Day of meeting rolled around and instead of meeting him he cowared & ignored all of my calls. it was at this point in our 3 and a half year long relationship i realized, he never cared about the birds well being. he just cared about how her feathers looked and how she presented herself. It wasn’t until it began to squawk and scream that he decided he suddenly couldn’t stand the caged bird. instead of setting her free, he walked away. Hoping she could survive off of the left over water and seed pellets. He knew that whenever he returned, she’d either be dead or desperate, he didn’t know that him walking away is what was teaching her to survive. She didn’t fret, she waited. When the shells were empty and the water was dry, she unhitched the latch with the nose of her beak and waited some more she climbed out the cage for the first time and looked around. She waited a bit more. What will a bird do when the hand that feeds them is no longer available? do they accept uncertainty or do they wait in desperation for death? i chose uncertainty after waiting in desperation for death. Uncertain of what the world holds for me after this. Uncertain if ill be happy or not. Uncertain if he will return to an empty cage and panic, or go on with his day. either way, who cares. It doesn’t matter where she goes, who she’s with or where she sits anything was better than waiting in desperation for something and getting nothing the bird is happier free than she ever was in the cage. Perching on somebody news shoulder she sings the lonesome songs she once sang for you. You show up for somebody you love. You refill their water bowl, prepare fresh fruits and have it ready for them by no later than 10am because making them wait any longer without breakfast isn’t fair to a caged bird. You make your presence known for somebody you care about, you bring yourself into their spaces and talk to them, play with them. Bring home walnuts from a tree you spotted on the way home because you know your caged bird loves walnuts. you show up for somebody you love and do what’s best for them. you support them in all of their aspirations and dreams. if your bird wants to migrate; you withhold your food and water and clip their wings, how will they leave? Rio is currently repopulating their forest for the first time with blue and gold macaws! the rainforest was taken by colonizers, the birds, land and history were stolen 200 years ago. My caged blue and gold macaw has been in my family since before i was born, but has been caged most if not her entire life. Rios wildlife center is accepting donations for blue and gold macaws, they currently have 4 females and 1 male. i believe my macaw is biologically male however we have always sexed her as a girl. I know she will live a long and very enriched life if i let her go to Rio, I’m unsure if i can let her go. I know for the better of the macaw species i should let her, the other part of me tells me though, if i continue to love my caged bird, if i teach my caged bird to fly and come home, if i continue to socialize with my caged bird every day could she finally break free from that cage? and if she did, at least i know she can survive without me in the wild. You didn’t love me, you loved my feathers, lonesome songs and having somebody depend on you. Yet you kept me in a tight cramped cage. i outgrew it. i realized you buy a bird a bigger cage when they begin to squawk and scream from discomfort, not walk away. It doesn’t matter if you love them, sometimes love isn’t enough. sometimes its between yourself and the blade. In those moments its important to ask yourself, are you worth plucking feathers over? Are you worth the cut wings? make me behave like an animal its sickening. Macaws mimic the things we hear most, instead of shouting “Leave Me Alone!” and “Chill Please!”, i’ve relearned to sing soft songs and “Mwah Mwah Mwah!”. Im relearning love I’m relearning how to fly i’m relearning home i’m free

small drawing of my favorite bird!!!!!! it’s a red-and-green macaw (and not a red-and-blue macaw, even if they look really close :)) it’s a bit ugly ._. like, i don’t know how to color with ball pens, but the sketch was there and i wanted to see it with colors so bad :0
Finally I have unlocked custom clothing for my miis, you know what that means? Ugly tacky matching couple outfits!!! I only have one design at the moment, but hopefully I get creative enough to come up with more. Speaking of clothes, Brenda requested a new outfit so I tried to pick something out that was similar to what she usually wears. And she hates it. Nevermind. I suppose I have a long way to go before I get as fashionable as Brenda. Well, maybe Claire will think it’s cute? Girls?? You’re a bit close. Do you want some privacy? Hello? Claire also seems to be getting close to Layton, which is good. “Hershel, last night I had a terrible nightmare! I dreamt that I gave you a giant top hat as a gift, then I died in a time machine explosion. And you were so sad that you refused to take the hat off, even getting a special car with an extra tall roof!” “That sounds awful, Claire. Thank goodness it was only a dream.”

The image is labeled “Sittace rubrigensis” and is part of an 1857 Paris publication titled “Iconographie des perroquets.” The background is plain beige, focusing attention on the macaw with no other objects or distractions.
It’s Tomodachi Life time!! Rook and Bishop are already pretty close, so I think it’s only fair that Mackintosh gets to join the gang. But what can Mackintosh talk about to impress Bishop? Radishes? Oh no, Mackintosh! There’s no way Bishop is interested in- Nevermind. They’re pretty good friends now. Meanwhile Rook requested some special food. If you’ve analysed every piece of dialogue from Azran Legacy, you know Rook lamented about not getting a Popoño cake in San Grio. So I decided to give him what he deserves. I’m not the best at designing, but let’s see what Rook thinks. He likes it! Yippee!
