For people who are disliking the shift in tone from interview with the vampire to the vampire lestat, I promise you this: the books are like that too. The first book is nothing like Lestat’s batshit narration style. He was Anne Rice’s problematic blorbo, based on her husband, and truly out of his mind. If you do not like his perspective, the rest of the series will - most likely - not be for you, I’m sorry to say.

Fans thinking they could write the show better make me giggle.

Me looking to find the patience Lestat’s speaking about because I was yelling for the incest to be off my screen as soon as possible

Every episode, each time that they slip into these characters that we’re devoted to and even the real interviews is a gift to us and a privilege to them, but I feel like it’s really easy to see the exhaustion of repetition and trying to explain what it’s like to share the skin and thoughts of their personal embodiments over and over again. This is genuine, justifiable and completely validated. I know it’s the job of actors, of artists, and that it isn’t part of life that most of them regret or ever should regret, but it’s really difficult to witness the complete disregard for them, their many areas of health, emotions and dignity daily when I check in on things online as part of the fandom or universe or however it would be defined. Basically to show support by following along, always from afar, not taking part in any chaos or conversation. I, like any by-standing admirer, follow the daily news and events of the actors and the show and also fall for the moments of pure endearment, humor, and understanding. I just wish they could be protected from the discomforts that come along with the rewards like I wish for anyone I care about. I’m not sure that it’s projected to them as often as it should be even or if they even feel it when it’s there even with being told, “ I love you,” a trillion times by people they don’t know. I don’t know, I see this as a blog sometimes, a way to journal in a way when I feel strongly about things. I’ll probably delete this, but in the off chance that someone sees this, does that make sense? Probably sounds weird, but it’s how I feel when I see it happening. I think it would be really great if they knew just how special they were and how not everyone is out to twist and pry and gauge and embarrass.
