is it easier to hate or to love? it really all depends on the person you are. how you were raised, how people treated you you know that stuff. small things like that have lasting impacts on you as a person today so the experiences you went through could determine how you answer this specific question!!! personally for me, i think that it’s easier to hate. love is something you can be all sorts of things with. you can be vulnerable, you can be strong, you can be dumb with whoever (you get the point). all forms of love are various but there’s no doubt about it - love is something you put your consideration and care into for the other person. with hate it’s just hate. yes hate and dislike differ but hate roots from dislike. you dont have to think much to dislike someone - its just simply what negative emotion you feel about that person. the dislike can build up and thus turn into hate. you dont have to put too much work into it like you do with love. to build a relationship, you need love. (relationships arent just romantic) you can hate everyone but you can’t just love anyone. love can be laborious but obviously it’s worth it. you could argue that hate is laborious but if you hate something with such passion wouldnt it mean obsession? tricky… perhaps you could say the same thing for love hate and love are different yet have similarities - they both involve intense emotions that fuel something in you but there’s still a thin line between them randomuselesspostramblingggg!!
VERSE: dragon age . cora wolndara was born in 9:10 dragon, in the denerim alienage, to an elven mother and a human father — both scholars in their own right, who had left their respective old lives behind for their craft. her mother was of a dalish clan, having fled in her early adulthood. her father, meanwhile, was rumoured to have been of noble blood, choosing to instead pursue botany. once cora was born, the both of them settled down together, and despite everything they were happy. that is, until cora reached 6 years of age and her magic had first manifested. it was an accident. growing up, cora was a… weird child, bullied by her peers for her oddity. and, one such event had resulted in cora unintentionally harming a boy that was picking on her with her magic. it wasn’t long before the word had reached the templars. cora and her mother both were promptly taken to the circle — cora, after her stunt, and cora’s mother, after she attempted to defend her daughter, after having successfully evaded the templars for years. separated from her family, cora was brought up at the fereldan circle tower, mentored by none other than the first enchanter irving himself. she was at the top of her class, an example for all to follow. it had not stopped her from being bullied however; if anything, it only made it worse. and so, cora learned to conform, before the bullying had ceased and she was left all alone. she was 18 when she passed her harrowing, and with flying colours at that. but there was something different about her, now. something… off, even more than usual, in more ways than one. whatever she might’ve seen during her harrowing awakened something, deep within her. she began to actively rebel. first, it was the simple act of avoiding her duties to the circle. then, it was vocal protests. the only reason she avoided trouble was because of her proximity to the first enchanter, that granted her a level of protection from the templars. but for how long? cora knew it was a matter of time before she was imprisoned, or even worse, put down by the chantry. and so, she resorted to the one thing all mages were warned against: blood magic. having stumbled upon a book on blood magic, conveniently left laying about, it was only a matter of time before her curiosity got the best of her. what started off as simple thirst for knowledge, soon turned to cora starting to dabble with the forbidden more and more. and, it was soon that she was approached by uldred. the rest, as they say, is history. it does not take long for the young elf to start looking up to the man, who had began teaching her in secret. foolishly, perhaps. she is there for when uldred attacks, for when he summons a pride demon, and becomes an abomination as a result, unleashing demons upon the circle tower. it was then that cora realizes just who she threw in her lot with; then that she realizes the mistake in her actions. she does not join the rest of her fellow blood mages in their takeover of the tower, betraying “uldred” and instead, she plots her escape. she is caught by the warden, however, who, perhaps against their better judgement, spares her life and lets her go. somehow, she manages to silently make her escape. she flees ferelden, then, catching a ship to kirkwall, alongside the many refugees fleeing from the blight. she doesn’t stay in kirkwall long, however, not being willing to be caught by the templars in the city of chains, and leaves for the northern free marches. for a while, she travels as a healer, healing the sick and salving the suffering, hiding her blood magic, before she ends up encountering clan lavellan. growing close with its keeper, who empathizes with cora’s tale — a tale, with many a detail omitted — she is offered a place within the clan. a place, which cora ends up accepting. and for 10 years, life is… great. being taken under the metaphorical wing of the clan’s keeper, cora soon learns that she has a natural inclination for nature magic , even becoming the keeper’s apprentice. in all, for the first time in years, cora feels as if she truly belongs somewhere. inquisition: cora is the inquisitor. she is sent to the conclave held between the magi and the templar order as a spy, and ends up becoming the inquisitor. she denies being chosen by andraste, is a merciful judge and declares the inquisition for herself, to set an example as both an elf and a mage. in the end , she disbands the inquisition. jury’s still out on who she romances, if anyone at all. she is friends with everyone.
