So not only am I seeing these dumb gambling ads but they use ai art for their ad. Even Satan had better standards. Not to mention it opening the App Store if you slightly touch it while scrolling past

the absolute fury and seething contempt I feel every time I get a Kalshi ad cannot be good for my heart like I know the phrase “monetizing the rot” has been around for a bit now but seeing a company specifically created to do so openly and shamelessly… I have to be angry or otherwise I’d just get depressed and now their ads are fucking everywhere, including here. I just can’t escape these fucking freaks

i hope the founders of kalshi and everyone who works for kalshi and everyone who takes money from kalshi or gives money to kalshi fucking kill themselves forever and ever amen

I see the gambling apps are pushing their ads heavy this weekend for Super Bowl. So just a couple reminders in case you get tempted to put some money down: The house ALWAYS wins. It’s how they stay in business. The sports organizations (NFL, NBA, MLB, et al) are in bed with the gambling houses. Sports, at the end of the day, are ENTERTAINMENT. While it seems real, there’s a script we (the general public) don’t know about. The athletes are human just like us. They have bad days at work too. If you feel the urge to throw some of your hard earned money away, put it toward something useful like mutual aid funds or local food banks . Or give it to me cause it’s black history month.

I know you have my location, so please allow me to stop receiving ads for criminal acts in Nevada. I’d hate to have to report this app for aiding and abetting violations of NRS 465.092 through your ad placement.

I am overflowing with rage regarding an ad I just got for Kalshi, a gambling app that lets you gamble on “real world events” including “deadly seasonal COVID variant”. Is it good advertising if it makes me want to throw everyone involved with the product into the Sun and never ever ever return to this website again

Just kind of thinking about how even the romantic idealized version of capitalism is a rotting corpse at this point. Nobody gets up to go to a workplace and uses a skill they built up to add meaningful value to a place of business. I do something close but that’s because I’m a software engineer and it’s for sure not even comparable to what the propaganda put forth. But what I’m getting at is it’s ALL just “how do I make money without actually working?” now. It’s buying properties to turn into AirBnBs. It’s investing in a vending machine to get piles of pocket change off people actually working somewhere. It’s buying up all of the latest trend thing to scalp it online. The CEOs are right, nobody wants to work, but that’s because we’re taught that’s the way. What do CEOs do but complain and move numbers around? They don’t work, they don’t have a meaningful skill they’re contributing with. They just play a gambling game involving how much they can exploit actual skills to get the most money in their pockets. And the final nail in the coffin? What’s going on in tech right now. AI should just generate everything that used to take a practiced hand and a little bit of time and effort now. Let’s monetize betting on the weather like that garbage app I keep seeing ads for on THIS app. We’re not selling anything anymore, we’re not doing anything, just trying to find the next scheme that’ll trick people into spending money on nothing. It’s why there’s no ethical way to become a billionaire, you have to use cheat codes to get to that level and it’s bullshit.
