I’ve been wondering if I should link to other people’s thomasallgrownup art on blorbo.social. Reposting is generally discouraged over there, so I would just make posts with links to the content without including it directly. If the artwork is properly age-gated (not like where guests can click past a warning), I can use direct image links (assuming the site allows getting them via right-clicking): I don’t think anyone wants to register on an obscure art site just to look at literal train sex. Here’s Blorbo.social’s About page. Blorbo does NOT federate with Baraag (the largest NSFW art instance mostly known for l#lish#), but it does federate with Aethy (which is similar to Baraag but with stricter rules and a smaller federation circle). Federation means the instances can interact with each other (view, like, share, reply to posts from another instance). If you’d like me to link to your content, you can reblog with a response or message me on Discord. This is just an excuse to promote the adult content in the ТТТЕ fandom, and show I’m not the only one like this from Fediverse POV. Alternatively you can register there yourself to have full control of your stuff, and your experience should be smooth and peaceful: registration is not invasive and does not carry unnecessary risk to your privacy: no phone numbers, no selfies, no IDs signups are human-moderated so no bad actors should get in, write about yourself so they know you’re human. don’t forget to verify your email! there are no ads, no flood of spambots and no built-in generative AI. you may find spambots on instances with open registration, but that’s rare. Mastodon format is similar to X and Bluesky, but depending on the instance you may be able to type much longer posts, Blorbo has a symbol limit of 3000 Mastodon allows not only muting and blocking users, but also blocking entire instances… but you probably won’t feel the need to do that, since Blorbo already blocks instances with hate speech and other trash. Make sure to CW NSFW content and don’t put any sensitive info in DMs (those aren’t encrypted, instance admin can access them).
Currently finding myself drawn between multiple different directions regarding my usage of the Web. Some of them overlap in direction, but they’ve got some distinctions. Drawn to the Fediverse because I like its approach to social media. I am more active on Mastodon than I ever was on my now long-deleted Twitter account (or on this tumblr account), and I am making the transition from Instagram to Pixelfed. Deleted my LinkedIn profile recently too, but I don’t really need a replacement for that. Of course, there are criticisms of social media platforms that don’t go away just by removing the corporate aspect to them. Knowing that, I find myself drawn to rosed-tinted nostalgia of personal websites. Either hosted on a platform like Neocities or Nekoweb, on a paid hosting platform, or even self-hosted (although I lack the funds and time to seriously implement that). Maybe I could join an old-school webring of likeminded weirdos too. The idea of creating a sprawling personal web of hypertext and hypermedia written in god-knows-what programming language that I’ve hyperfixated upon. At the same time, I am drawn to the ideal of a minimalist static site (hardcoded HTML) hosted on a microboard computer powered by sustainable energy in a similar vein of Low-Tech Magazine’s website . Hosting local instead of on Cloud servers, that appeals to me. And then there’s the part of me that wants to just get away everything. Get all my stuff off the World Wide Web, either so I can go full offline or so I start exploring alternative methods of network communication ( ad-hoc mesh networks, HAM radio bulletin boards, Hyphanet, etc.) that do not intermingle so much with the AI slop spreading over the surface of the Web, that doesn’t consume and contribute to bloated sites and web apps accessed on servers in data centers that consume ever growing amounts of electricity and find user information into surveillance algorithms used at home and abroad by the war-machine. Usage of the Web is a little too integrated into my work and personal life for it too be easily dislodged, and I don’t think I could compel myself to divorce myself from it. Different wants/desires keep buzzing through my head at different times, in different contexts. Externally, IRL, I think I will try to be consistent and keep suggesting to people in my city’s activist and community spaces that we at least explore opensource alternatives to the major corporate-owned platforms of the WWW.
Baraag, Aethy, Burggit, HeadpatCafe, Cubnuuy, etc. are proship instances. If you want to put “proship DNI”, “anti lolisho” or anything adjacent in you profile, don’t even think about making an account on those. I shit you not, I saw a puritan make a Baraag account and attempt to harrass someone pointing out the nature of the site.
If you want a social media that feels like tumblr, has privacy settings, no ads and is 100% indie check these out: Wafrn, the social media that respects you Meowrn, the very silly social media These are all independent instances of Wafrn, a social media that lets you talk to Bluesky and Fedi. I know mastodon sucks ass, I promise this will be different, the ex-Tumblr community is thriving on independent corners of the web. Give it a shot
With their continued work with Activity Pub and efforts to integrate wordpress.com websites with the #Fediverse, they’ve effectively enabled me to have my own #Mastodon instance. Most Mastodonians rely on the generous support and donors of server space. Now I can turn my wp.com website into my own instance. A fantastic development!! #wordpress http://elizabethtai.com/2026/05/31/20454/
People on Mastodon are talking about this like it’s a bug that needs to be fixed; meanwhile on Tumblr seeing the exact same post reblogged by 3 different mutuals is considered a totally normal and perhaps even charming part of the user experience. Sometimes it really is just about culture and mindset.
