I wonder who you are, as you appear before me… what is your story what do you have to say. I’ve begun quite a few paintings over the years with this inquiry, open to the unfolding, open to the teaching. This painting has continued to evolve over the past year and a half, refining the story, diving deeper into the weave. I had painted cannabis leaves quite prominently in the crown and found some contradiction while in Colombia getting ready for the Metamorphosis show at the @sastoquegallery . Recently the government made it illegal to possess even a small amount and as other countries and states in the US are celebrating legalization it was an interesting position to be in. I decided to hide them within the feathers, I like to find ways for the AND rather than the ‘either or’💫 I believe that all plants should be legalized and that we should have the freedom to explore their gifts, as they offer access to some of the greatest direct teachings. . Above the crown there is a rainbow blanket with many people gathering around it. This is a vision and prayer for the coming together of humanity in service for the earth. It is time to lay down the weapons and welcome a new way forward. We will sing this song over and over as it becomes embedded in our DNA… we must practice peace in every little way before it will resonate in the big way. .
