We’re Not Giving Up on the Girls 🐺🐺 Delma (shown here with our pack leader) grew up in the city with my sister and her family while her sister Mocha remained with us in the farm. When my sister’s son had allergic reactions to fur, they sent Delma back to us. At first, they got along pretty well, until they started hating each other so much, they’d tear down the wall between their kennels just to get at each other and fight. In one of their fights, Mocha injured her leg (photo no. 2), her vet gave her Tolfine to reduce the swelling and the pain. She was limping for two weeks. We had to rotate them since then and very careful not let them out all at the same time. I missed our weekend trips to the forests with all four of our fur babies – Gunther, Alpha No. 2; Borris, the altered fur ball, and the girls, Mocha and Delma. I can’t stand having three of them playing with the kids while the other girl is peeking through the kennel door 😭💔 So my husband tried his luck, trusting his instincts and how much he knew each of our girls. Long story short, he’s having progress and I get to see the girls roaming around with the pack again – off leash! (Photo No. 4 shows all 4 of them getting treattos! It was risky and I wouldn’t recommend doing it on your own. In fact, having a professional dog trainer still involves some risks. But my husband was determined to address the issue while it’s early and assured me he can handle the girls. A not-so-strange stranger 🐕 Husband and I are dog persons and during the company-sponsored family day held last weekend, our hearts were captured by an unbelievably lovable stranger named Pudge. Pudge is a pug and is friends with everyone, even to those he’s only met for the first time. When we met Pudge’s fur parents, we were surprised to find out that they both went to the same facility where our family went for treatment five years ago! 😃 It’s no wonder we instantly felt comfortable with one another haha! . . Dogs are more than just pets. In our case, our dogs played and continue to play a special part in our recovery. More than anything, they teach us to focus more on others and less on ourselves. Unlike her sister, #MadamKiki, this tiny puppy can’t last a minute without her hoomans around. Since her mom @dr_cuddle5 is always away, she constantly looks for anyone to cling to. It’s a good thing she has an aunt who writes for a living 😂💻 and is always home 27/7 . My father thinks she looks like a giant bat without wings.
