A (textless) Frutiger Metro-like project I did as a final project for my Graphic Design class a couple months back I made this with both Illustrator and Photoshop and wanted to post a few months back but I forgot about it until now oopsiezz! OuO
(THIS IS NOT ABOUT RAVYN LENAE I LOVE HER MUSIC but a more general question about black artists genre classification) why do these black artists that swear up and down about being called rnb not have that same attitude when they’re called pop? some artists need to come to terms with their negative feelings towards rnb because i would hate to live in a timeline where rnb is synonymous with “restricting, limiting, boxed in”, etc.
Anyone remembers her? I have to take a moment to appreciate her artistry, her poetics, her vocal talent and the fact that she’s truly one of the og english anime cover artists with the most beautiful, authentic lyrical flows. She’s the original artist of Smoke and Mirrors, that one yandere song by the way. Also the fact that she’s a brown skinned person of colour. I can’t exactly name her background, but it’s nice to know that there’s someone who has been looking like me who was so prolific in my communities growing up. Gacha, edgy animes and themes and such. I enjoy her Higurashi covers and I genuinely enjoy smoke and mirrors. I revisit it time to time.
