Doggust day 2: Basenji A boy and his dog doing a show ✨

All about God’s greatest creation: This is Charlie . He is a half-husky and half-basenji mix. He is currently two years old. My father, sibling, and I adopted him in December of 2024. His old family had to give him up because he failed his service dog training. He was too playful. I made this blog so I can have an archive of photos and information, and because I am a firm believer that he is the best dog ever and everyone should want to see him. Blog’s mod is Kas (he/they). I’m an adult. I have my own personal blog, but it’s not as important as this one, clearly.

These turned out really well. Uhm, sometimes it’s a too big a ask to try to sound positive online with shit happening so I hope you like these. Here they are. Check them out if you think they’re cool.

Was assigned Basenji as the dog I would be by the veterinarian I work with. And so it shall be. Also I was obsessed with them as a kid when I saw them in my dog breeds book so I think must have been a sign.

That fox looks like he’s writing a very important letter about the nature of consciousness, probably to an owl who won’t understand. The cheer, one imagines, is still pending.

Anyone have access to the dog shows today? Would anyone be willing to tell me if/who the Basenji is in the show? Mostly I care if they were sired by Ramses or any of that lines descendents. Only thing I miss about Thanksgiving with my family.

basenji print progress update! I’m going to do another etching layer just to give the dog itself a bit more contrast against the background, but overall I’m really happy with how it’s coming along!! I did forget to reverse the originals images so both of them are backwards now which might actually haunt me forever but I’m just gonna try to ignore that for now 😐
