Okay, I anxiously took a risk and asked for advice on the fanfiction subreddit on getting over my hangups so I can talk about my OCs more freely. And the advice and support I got was so nice and honestly so refreshing 😅 I have come to the conclusion that I basically just need to rip the band aid off and put myself out there. I’m still working on the banners for the ask games and themes days of the week, where I’ll probably go more in depth about everything, but I figured as a start, I could at least share some names for the fanfics I’m currently working on. Kalihara , better known as Kali, is an OC that is part of my DC AU, The Deadlock Chronicles . Kali is a former member of the elite covert military organization, Operation Guardian. She was a member of the Propolis Division, the organizations form of Cybersecurity and hacking. Important to have in a universe full of Oracles. When she defects from the Organization, the first to do so and get away alive, she takes cover in the chaos of Gotham City. She needs help if Operation Guardian is going to have a chance of saving itself from it’s own corruption, but she’ll need outside help to do it. And who does she turn to? None other than Jason Todd, who’s trust is it’s own battle to earn. Maria Razzauti is the name of my and my mother’s Godfather OC! I’m writing my Godfather fic series, A Tale of Oranges, Olive Oil, and Rat Bastards , as a gift to her. It’s my mom’s first fanfic experience and she’s heavily involved in the outlining process as we develop it together. Maria is unique as she serves a vital position in the Corleone family as the caregiver of Vito Corleone after his near death experience, and later on Carmela Corleone. But to dismiss Maria as just a nurse would be the biggest mistake of your life, and probably the last. Nia Freeman is another OC in The Deadlock Chronicles , though her role is not as heavy in plot importance as Kali’s is. Nia is the eventual second wife of Carmine Falcone in my fanfic, and mother of his youngest, Katarina Falcone. Nia doesn’t come from a world of shady dealings and monsters but moral ambiguity feels like home as the product of an affair. Nia has spent years trying to be the model “Good Woman”, even when embroiled in a toxic and abusive relationship. When Carmine steps into her life and dangles the keys of a new future, Nia leaps into the temptation. Only time will tell if she bit off more than she can chew. Nita is the name of my Courier Six in my Fallout New Vegas AU! I don’t have a name for the AU yet 😅. Nita has a custom backstory, one where she was originally born into Caesar’s Legion. Through Nita I explore the expanded mythology of the Legion’s belief system, alongside the tribal lore I came up with for the Twin Mothers Tribe that is heavily inspired by the Choctaw and Chickasaw nations, my mother’s ancestors! With tribal medicine, a slave collar, and a bullet in the head, Nita’s primary objective is getting the Platinum Chip back from that no good Benny. Her second objective? Finding out how to make Craig Boone laugh. If it’s possible. She’s not sure. But she’s determined, nonetheless. Rebecca King is another OC in my DC AU, The Deadlock Chronicles. Rebecca, better known as Becca, is a detective at GCPD, working under Lieutenant Gordon at the start of the story and investigating a string of strange murders, accompanied by missing facial features and operatic music playing in the background. Raised on the streets of Gotham with a firsthand view of the city’s criminal underbelly, Becca almost transferred to Metropolis before the Caped Crusader made his debut. Becca is one of the few initial GCPD detectives that’s more interested in working alongside the Batman rather than unmasking him. “He’s risking his life to do our job better than us. For free. Just sayin’.” I have a lot more OCs in a lot more fanfics, but these are the primary four I’m working with for now! I’ll be sure to babble more about them when the times comes 🫡✨

Like Bear and Victoria, they’re in my AU too. I’m mainly combining Class!TAF + RWS. They keep their roles in Percy Takes a Plunge . This story is canon in my AU The Norramby branchline had a unique position, while it was part of the BR, it was also on Sodor, which potentially bought some time for steam engines. Somewhere in the 1960s Jinty and Pug were brought to the Norramby branchline. They’ve always rested at the Crovan’s Gate sheds. Unlike the other engines who rested there, they didn’t fully move into the Vicarstown one, until the Norramby line became part of the NWR in 1974. Jinty and Pug also wanted a change of scenery so they asked if they could go on the Kirk Ronan branch? That way they could still be near Norramby and show the ropes when Arthur and Adele are sent east. They also decided to pick different liveries after being BR black like they were in the books. They’re engines no. 20 and 21 respectively, joining the fleet shortly before Becky who they become good friends with. Jinty is outgoing while Pug is much more shy.

i forgot to explain this in the post because im a chud so imma prolly edit his part to include this but basically before jegbert got into the coma Tavros got hit by a car by vriska. And before he fully got his leg amputated he was in a wheelchair for a while well he was regaining strength in his one leg. Causing jegbert to imagine tavros being in a wheelchair in homestuck proper.

Since she has soul jam energy in her she has to stay a majority of her time in the kingdom timeline. This is because soul jam energy is needed to keep that timeline stable, which Chelsea Bun hates, she loves her Pops and wants to see them more often. But unfortunately being the director is a very demanding job. It’s not that Chelsea doesn’t like PV it’s just she wishes both Dad and Pops would be with her more often. Timekeeper is always there for special events though (who would have guessed the deity of time is very punctual). When she does get to travel to her Pops timeline she is a little menace and loves to cause issues, because she’s the director’s daughter hehe. This is also the rare times she gets to see her Mum (Mochaccino). Who she also adores.

For the timeline where they’re women ( I prefer Donna and Cecile over Denise and Catlin for their names ) I’m thinking about, since they’re women, (assuming neither is trans) but they’re too old for most stuff to apply. Becky the Bulleid Engine In 1967, Becky was luckily taken in by a heritage railway and earned the reputation of being smooth as butter. In the early 1970s the heritage railway went through some failures which forced them to cut back on how many engines they were able to keep. Once again Becky had to be taken to a new home or be scrapped. The fat controller purchased her and now she rests at Vicarstown with Bear, Claire, Murdoch, Arthur, Adele, Jinty, Pug and sometimes Henry. By the time she came to Sodor, everyone, that also includes the diesels, had their names on them. Her name is actually Rebecca but she prefers Becky . I’m limiting how many steam engines are added to the character roster because that’s much material to utilize and that’s not even counting the narrow gauge engines and diesels. The definitive end of steam in the UK was around Oliver’s arrival on Sodor. The characters added afterwards need to have exceptions, I can only do so many until it’ll get too repetitive. In a way, Becky’s a callback to the OG 7 engines with Toby who also looked very different being the latest member in that wave of characters. Becky’s personality is fine already and her locomotive class was still possible to find in the 1970s. She’s a rectangular shape, another nod to Toby and kinda like diesels. That and being the final steam engine to join Sodor can symbolize the inevitable change from steam to diesels. Her class was also working most of its career during the decline of steam, not the last though. I’m also well aware she’s controversial; IMO though the problem isn’t characters sharing similar traits, it’s how it is carried out that makes the difference . Their backgrounds such as the locomotive class they are and which railway they were formerly part of should be taken into account too.
