This fuckin nonsense. my hand hurts kin and kin of kin Kin covers covers siblings and parents, as well as nespring and grandparents, auncles and cousins. Children and grandchildren are of course also kin. Kin of kin are great and great-great grandparents, as well as great and great-great children, children and grandchildren of nespring and cousins, great and great-great auncles, the children of aforementioned great and great-great auncles, and second cousins. I tried to get that across in the image. I’ve decided that I have succeeded. If you disagree no you don’t. Partnering with kin is highly taboo, partnering with kin of kin is moderately taboo. If there aren’t many cats in the clan, the kin of kin taboo is ignored since having two clanborn parents is preferable to one. In times of massive depopulation, even cousins and auncles/nespring can be overlooked. More bigoted cats will outright state that a cousin or auncle is a better match than a rogue or enemy from another clan.

What do you think of the canon names from the newest book? Redcloud, Sprucetip, Flufftail, and Silkypod

I am glad canon names are getting more interesting than “colorclaw” or “birdfeather” or “anythingshine”! 8 Redcloud – used this name myself many of times. A really standard name, but elegant. 4 Sprucetip – what does a cat need to do to get the -tip suffix? Kinda awkward. 5 Flufftail – very neutral on this. It’s like, the most background character name one can have. Fluffytail has more charm imo 6 Silkypod – not bad! -pod is… interesting. I have it in the same category as like, -nest or -shrub like. They’re unique but certainly weird. Warrior equivalent of naming your kid Ryleigh imo: sounds almost like a normal name, but different just to be different. Silky- is pretty cool tho!

A kitty you shall have! Or kitties, since you rolled a crit! Nice! 74! - common crit! 59 - common Splattercrow (she/her) is a classic torbico molly with dark blue eyes. Her fur is split evenly between white and stormy grey splotches in random patterns. A swirl of black on either of her flanks ties the spots together, and her tail is banded between white and black. A dark mask sits over both her eyes. Only a few spots of orange mark her fur, densest around her shoulders and dispersing into freckles on her flanks. More orange freckles her muzzle and beneath her eyes. Splattercrow is a small, compact cat with short legs and large paws for her size, which makes her look more like an apprentice than a full-grown cat. Her ears are low, broad, and tend to flop over themselves. Splattercrow is a loud cat who does not understand the concept of personal space. She’s very physically affectionate, even with cats she barely knows, and asking her to stick to established boundaries can be a struggle as her mind struggles to keep up with her actions. Splattercrow tends to be a passionate cat that finds it difficult to override her emotions, and often makes choices based on how she feels. She is fiercely protective of the Clan’s kits and queens and despises those who treat them poorly or don’t put their needs and comfort first. [Pride month special!] Splattercrow, for all her passion and love of physical affection, is aroace. She is in an open QPP with Pansypuddle, and considers Pansypuddle’s immediate family her own. Splattercrow is cisgender. Pansypuddle (she/they/sage) is a long-furred blue-and-white tabby molly with soft green eyes. Pansypuddle has long, silky grey fur with delicate tabby markings twisting across her flanks like tendrils of creeping ivy. Her tail and hind legs are wrapped by spirals of dark grey, ending in nearly black tips to her paws; her front legs are barren of markings, covered in high white socks. Her chest and chin are white, and white paints a thick stripe up her nose, tapering off into a star on her forehead. Thin grey tabby markings frame their green eyes, spreading into fractals at her cheeks. Their long fur spreads into a mane that frames their face like petals of a flower. Sages hocks shroud their paws in clouds of fur, which are a pain to groom but look stunning when the fur trails behind sages paws like smoke. Pansypuddle is of average height, but is somewhat fat with rounded features and extra weight around her shoulders and stomach, causing her spine to droop and giving her back pain if she’s on her paws too long. Pansypuddle is a cat who likes to stay organized. Sage is always tidying something or doing small chores; they find it hard to relax without having something to do, and isn’t one for slacking off. She doesn’t really like leaving camp, though, as she feels like she collects a whole territory’s worth of mud, twigs, and leaves in her long fur; instead, Pansypuddle tends to volunteer for camp chores, kit-sitting, crafting, or weaving, where sage can stay relatively clean. They are a strict kit watcher, but a trusted one who never lets her charges out of her sight. She is also great with apprentices; every apprentice passes down the knowledge that Pansypuddle is a cat they can go to if they need help, as she won’t get them in trouble and will get them help if they feel unsafe. [Pride month special!] Pansypuddle identifies as a Aromaticgender molly. She loves the smell of herbs–particularly sage, mints, and rosemary–and often wears their fresh leaves in her pelt, or sachets of herbs when the season doesn’t permit it. She feels mostly feminine, but doesn’t mind neutral pronouns. She is a polyamorous lesbian, and is currently in a relationship with several mollies, including a long-term QPP with Splattercrow.
