gem found at public library i work a part-time job at a local library and i was going through the non-fiction books to pull any outdated ones, make a list of topics we needed to order books on, etc. then, i found this gem. it’s a screenshot of the cover because i forgot to take a photo, but oh my lord this is incredible. i mean they didn’t have to call me out like this, but… anyway, i’m not usually one for stereotyping, but theatre does seem to attract queer people. just out of curiosity, if you’re a fan of or involved in theatre in some way, please do my poll! i’m honestly quite curious! if you’re a theatre person/fan, are you queer in some way? yes no i’m not a theatre person or fan/results

Okay Shakespeare and theater enthusiasts. Help me here: In late 2006 or early 2007, we watched a version of The Tempest in school. It was not a film adaptation, but a recording of a stage production. I have googled high and low but I cannot find a single still image or clip on YouTube of this specific version. This is the only clue I have that might narrow it down (other than the timeframe): Ariel was performed as a puppet. Kind of like a mask on a stick with a long trailing train of flowy fabric to simulate the air/wind? And the puppeteer was dressed head to toe in black, like a Japanese puppeteer. What version was this? Does this sound familiar at all?
