(continuation of the this ) They were just getting ready to be moved to their third new lab when Rebecca joined him outside. She sat down beside him as he took in the sights one final time. “You know we could just live in one apartment. It would make it easier.” Luis raised an eyebrow at her. “Yeah?” She shrugged and bumped his shoulder. “I don’t see why not. We spend most of our time together anyways.” He chuckled, it was a fair enough point and their relationship has grown quite a bit in the past year. They’d ended up curled together on a mat a number of times, and eventually stopped pretending they weren’t going to end up on top of one another. Then of course one morning when he walked in with her coffee she’d kiss his cheek in thanks. He’d frozen in shock but Rebecca didn’t even blink, and like that it became a semi-regular thing. Luis adored her and he was happy to say she seemed to feel the same way. Oh if Leon only knew he’d have to talk to the man at some point preferably soon. And hell maybe his squier was having luck of his own in regards to Ada. “Do you ever think they’ll stop moving us around?” He asked. She laughed. “Maybe? Honestly I say they should just assign us to a lab in the middle of the country on some BSAA base.” “I feel like that would be the smart thing sí.” “I’ll have to pester Chris about it.” She huffed. “So are we sharing an apartment?” “I don’t see why not.” And like that they moved into an apartment near the new lab. They’d just dropped their stuff in the man room and Luis collapsed onto the couch with a sigh. Rebecca joined him propping herself mostly on him. “Well it’s done.” She sighed. “Sí, now what?” She tilted her head up to look at him. “I can think of a few things.” He blinked down at her. “Yeah?” She leaned up to kiss him properly. “Yeah.” And like that their relationship was something solid, not that really anyone knew about it. Luis was an incorrigible flirt by default, and Rebecca took her job extremely seriously. Leon, ironically , wasn’t the first to know. Instead that privilege went to Chris. He’d walked in to Rebecca kissing him on the cheek as she took the lab results from his hands. Luis had turned, spotted Chris, and waved. The man in question just blinked dumbly at him. Rebecca finally spotted him and smiled widely and walked over to greet him properly. “Chris! I’ve been meaning to talk to you. We were thinking about making us officially a part of your Organization.” “I have another question…” Rebecca just blinked at him and raised an eyebrow. “The point is we are tired of getting moved around the country. Wouldn’t it just be easier to put us somewhere central and in some protected compound?” Chris just blinked a few times. “I…will see what I can do. But what is the deal with you two?” Rebecca just shrugged. “Call it whatever you will.” Luis just smiled from his place behind her.

… Winston Churchill? The British Prime Minister during WW2? And Charlemagne… the Holy Roman Emperor from the late 700s??? … Y'know what, yeah, I’ll incorporate that into my headcanon system, sure.
