I’ve done it again 😬 I’ve recreated the Science Lab. With a few variations—and this time, without any CC. In my first version, I used a lot of CC by cyclonesue; however, despite having that content installed, I wasn’t able to integrate the lab from my other Game folder into my current one. No matter—I had a great time attempting the recreation once again. I’m absolutely not good at using the constrainfloorelevation cheat, so you won’t find any fancy structural tricks here. The Crystal Tree in the foyer is from the Lunar Lakes world. The lab was built in Mesa Valley II. This was the first phase of the construction process. I moved the original building to the back to make room in front for the replica. Later, while I was almost finished furnishing the building, the game crashed, and I had to start the process again. But I was able to do it quickly on the second attempt. It was finally finished that evening. Well, nothing special really, but I was eager to see my scientists at work again. ^^ In the end, I demolished the original rabbit hole and re-enrolled the careers via the rabbit hole carpet. The first post of 2026 I want to say that something happened about one month ago. Something i should never have done but it happened and i gravely regret it. I’ve let my guard down and now I am left to deal with the consequences. This is the one thing that is real and its not only emotional but a drastic real change happened. All I want to say now is I don’t need to relive what happened or why I do it or why I let it happen. I need to find a solution and now it is almost one month since it happened and that is why we will rebuild. I’m a little more stable to start my “journaling” here and so here is my first post. “I shouldn’t have trusted this person” Something I hear everyone says and never believe it myself until it happened to me. Anyway I will rebuild because if not my mum and I will suffer. “I trusted the wrong person” and this is real. A grave misplacement of trust led me here. So yep. I will rebuild cause I must. There is no one else who can do it for me already. “I was supposed to protect my mum” yet I let my guard down and now this. Its so shitty but SHIT I have to do this. I promised my dad when he passed on to take care of my mum. We will rebuild. Don’t worry I will not do anything stupid to myself because I am responsible for what happened even though i was a victim. We will be stronger.

I always felt Jack understood Norse mythology best. In this panel, he shows both, war’s cruelty & its waste of life… 2. Norse myths have a mostly linear time line from Creation up to this tale. After this, the stories break up a bit - following various themes, like Odin’s Search for Wisdom, Thor’s/Loki’s tales, Heroes’ sagas, the Birth of Nordic nations, etc… Then, they all reunite in a mass ending with the Death of Balder, Ragnarok & Rebirth! 3. Commentators think some stanzas are missing just B4 this ‘beginning’ - as a resolution to the 1st War had been reached. It wasn’t customary for poets to give the full details of their myths, as the audience knew them & wouldn’t need transitions from one story to another. The missing part has a Giant builder - who’ll erect new fortifications - if, he can get Freya, the sun & moon as his price!! Terrified as to his progress, the Gods force Loki to delay the builder… 4. The “Venom” here is a poetic wording meaning Loki’s “bad advice.” 5. Othr is a bit of a mystery Aesir - as so little is known about him. Snorri says he’s a God who “went away on long journeys.” Sounds a lot like Odin, who likes to travel around Earth in disguise… Or, it describes the long voyages of the Vikings raiding more southern lands. 6. Strangely enough, the violating of Aesir oaths is what made the Giants unrelenting enemies of the Gods! I would’ve thought, the earlier murder of Ymir would have done that… < Younger Edda - It was early in the 1st days of the Gods, when there came a wright,⁷ offering to rebuild the fortifications in 3 seasons - so strong it would resist the Hill Giants & the Rime Giants too!⁸ But, his price was possession of the Goddess Freya;⁹ plus, the sun & moon as well!! Well, the Aesir took counsel & a bargain was made - the wright would be payed his price - should he complete his work in 1 winter… And he was to receive no human help! But, the wright asked if his own horse could help him - & Loki advised for it. The wright set to work on the 1st day of winter. By night, he hauled great stones with the stallion’s help & that horse did more work by half than the wright himself! When winter drew towards its end, the walls were nearly done… When it lacked 3 days before summer, the new walls had almost reached the main gate of the stronghold! So, the Gods took new counsel seeking to avoid payment - asking who had given them such bad advice?… Loki Laufeyson,¹⁰ of course! So, they threatened his life - should he not figure out how to cheat the wright of his wages - no matter what Loki should have to do… That evening, a mare appeared from the dark woods & enticed the wright’s horse away! Frantically, the wright tried to capture his stallion - but, to no avail… After that, all of his work was undone. Growing angry, the wright fell into a Giant’s fury!! Seeing that they had almost been tricked by an Enemy, the Gods called upon Thor - who’d been out in the East, hunting Trolls. The Lord of Thunder came instantly, paying the Hill Giant - with a hammer blow! So mighty a strike, the Giant’s skull burst into crumbs - sending the Enemy down below Niflheim!!¹¹ But, Loki had the most unexpected result of all. His dealings with the wright’s stallion were such that he gave birth to a grey colt - with 8 legs! Sleipnir, the best horse among both, Gods & men.¹² A gift for Odin - to forgive Loki’s bad advice? Footnotes: 7. Wrights were “makers (carpenters)” or “shapers (craftsmen)” in 700 AD. Most were woodworkers who could assemble furniture & erect buildings. Some were smiths & 'worked’ metals. 8. Hill Giants are usually Trolls and the Rime Giants are Ice Giants (=s Polar Bears?). 9. Freya was a Goddess of love, beauty & fertility but, also Mistress of war, death & Seidr magic!! So, she’s a Nordic version of the Middle East’s Ishtar, Egypt’s Sekhmet, etc… Seidr is a feminine magical power for divination & the altering of fate! No wonder Odin learned it!! 10. Laufey (“Tree Leaf Isle”) is actually a Giantess, AKA Nal (“Needle”), who with Farbauti (“Dangerous Striker”, which =s “Lightning!”) were Loki’s parents! Sadly, little else is known about her… 11. Niflheim is 1 of the primordial worlds & below it is Niflhel (“Mist Hell”) - a darker “prison” for the wicked dead! There’s a lot of interesting beings & places here, like: Hvergelmir, the 3rd Root of Ygdrasil, Nastrond, Nidhogg, etc… So, sort of like Tartarus… 12. Sleipnir (“Sliding/Slippery One”) is a magical horse able to “glide” thru the air, sea & even down into the Realm of the Dead! The 8 legs are thought to be an artistic representation of Sleipnir’s speed - so that it seemed like gliding rather than running… In time, Sleipnir would become the ancestor of Grani (“Bearded One” or, “Grey One”) horse of the hero Sigurd! Important info: You will need a rabbit hole rug to make the lot functional again, as I demolished the original building. Also (if desired), you might want these radio towers by MsPoodle . Finally, I used the windows from the Skylight Studio set from the Store . However, these aren’t strictly necessary; you can place the transparent floor tiles from the Into the Future expansion pack instead, or simply forgo the roof windows entirely. Also important: if you don’t want to do without the Crystal Tree in the foyer, I recommend installing Lunar Lakes as well. “I don’t let the opinions of celebrities influence my political opinion.” This is always said by people who willingly, joyfully, and catastrophically elected a reality TV star to the Presidency, ignoring all of the verifiable and obvious issues with said person, and happily applauded his decision to appoint a day-time TV host as his Secretary of War, whose drunkeness, infidelity, and complete stupidity was obvious from the start. My nation is a nation of imbeciles who solely rely on the opinions of celebrities, and we now find ourselves drowning in debt, with skyrocketing costs of living, a complete loss of empathy, ethics, morality, and common sense. We allowed this to happen. We fell into worshipping money instead of decency, placing the desires of business over the needs of the people, falling for get-rich-quick schemes instead of long-term planning, and believing con men and grifters over the evidence that was plainly visible for all to see. We allowed President after President after President to consolidate power to the point that now the Executive Branch is writing its own laws and going into unprovoked war against other nations with no checks from a now powerless Congress and corrupt Supreme Court. We grew complacent because we thought this could never happen to us. This is the kind of thing that happens to “third world countries” and overseas “shitholes.” Self-professed Libertarians are cheering on the secret police force that kidnaps people off the street and murders citizens in broad daylight with zero consequence. “Freedom loving” Conservatives who used to warn about Federal overreach are now foaming in ecstasy over the trampling of the Constitution, State’s Rights, and Civil Liberties at the hands of an all-powerful Federal bureaucracy. When the interest payments on the national debt exceed the gross national product, other nations will stop buying our bonds and bills and notes and we will have no way to pay back the debt because, after all, “taxation is theft.” That will be the end of the American Experiment. Future history books will record the mightiest nation to ever exist died, not because of a rigged system elected an idiot clown with delusions of grandeur and those with the power and ability to stop it instead chose to embrace the chaos and stupidity and protect the criminal syndicate that took the reigns of power in exchange for large sums of rapidly diminishing-in-value money. No, they will say it died because people stopped caring, stopped learning, stopped thinking, and willingly gave up everything because it was easier to just let celebrities do the governing for them.
