The Truth About Highly Sensitive and Deep Thinking Minds | Digitally Radiant I just watched this and it really puts things into perspective. It talks about highly sensitive and deep thinking minds in a way that feels honest and relatable. The video explains why some people feel everything more strongly and think through situations more deeply than others. It doesn’t frame it as a problem, just a different way the mind works, which makes it easier to understand yourself.
“NVC is founded on language and communication skills that strengthen our ability to remain human, even under trying conditions. It contains nothing new; all that has been integrated into NVC has been known for centuries. The intent is to remind us about what we already know—about how we humans were meant to relate to one another—and to assist us in living in away that concretely manifests this knowledge. NVC guides us in reframing how we express ourselves and hear others. Instead of habitual, automatic reactions, our words become conscious responses based firmly on awareness of what we are perceiving, feeling, and wanting. We are led to express ourselves with honesty and clarity, while simultaneously paying others a respectful and empathic attention. In anyexchange, we come to hear our own deeper needs and those of others. NVC trains us to observe carefully, and to be able to specify behaviors and conditions that are affecting us. We learn to identify and clearly articulate what we are concretely wanting in any given situation. The form is simple, yet powerfully transformative. As NVC replaces our old patterns of defending, withdrawing, or attacking in the face of judgment and criticism, we come to perceive ourselves and others, as well as our intentions and relationships, in a new light. Resistance, defensiveness, and violent reactions are minimized. When we focus on clarifying what is being observed, felt, and needed rather thanon diagnosing and judging, we discover the depth of our own compassion. Through its emphasis on deep listening—to ourselves as well as to others—NVC fosters respect, attentiveness, and empathy and engenders a mutual desire to give from the heart.” - Nonviolent Communication, Marshall B. Rosenberg
Solomon Asch’s conformity experiments in the 1950s produced one of the most disturbing findings in social psychology: people will give answers they know to be wrong to align with a group. In Asch’s studies, subjects were asked to match line lengths, an objectively simple task with obvious answers. When surrounded by confederates who unanimously gave the wrong answer, roughly 75% of subjects conformed at least once. This isn’t stupidity. It’s the social proof heuristic working in a context where it doesn’t serve well. Disagreeing with a unanimous group triggers social anxiety that, in most real-world situations, signals a real problem. The brain can’t always distinguish the lab setup from genuine social reality. The practical lesson: social proof is most reliable when the group sharing the experience is genuinely similar to you and operating with good information. Celebrity endorsements, vague testimonials, and manufactured urgency (“8 people are viewing this right now….”) are social proof signals with near-zero reliability. Specific testimonials from people in directly comparable situations, with named outcomes, are worth far more. Learn to evaluate social proof rather than just respond to it. Till next time, Jonny
This Is Why You Feel Drained Even When Life Looks Fine | Digitally Radiant I just watched this and it honestly explains that “I should be fine but I’m not” feeling. It talks about why people can have a normal life on paper but still feel completely drained inside. The video points to hidden stress and emotional buildup that most people ignore. Simple idea, but it makes you think about your own energy in a different way.
National PTSD Awareness Month June is named National PTSD Awareness Month. June 27th is PTSD Awareness Day and PTSD Screening Day. PTSD is a highly complex mental disorder. It can only develop after you have gone through or see a traumatic experience or life-threatening event. Stress reactions to these events are normal, but if they persist for longer than a month and cause problems with daily life, it could be PTSD.
Locked up and forgotten: India’s mental health crisis “India’s public mental health wards are overcrowded and underfunded”. […] “These buildings are in pretty poor conditions, they were literally built in the colonial era when the British were here and they haven’t really been updated since then and there are grates on every single window”.

The Psychology Behind Deep Thinkers and Highly Sensitive People | Digitally Radiant I just watched this and it actually makes a lot of sense. It talks about deep thinkers and highly sensitive people in a way that feels real, not clinical or overcomplicated. The video explains why some people feel everything more strongly and tend to overthink small things, and it kind of reframes it as how their mind naturally works rather than something wrong with them.
