This might just be me but I’m inclined to believe it was actually from a private account or else they wouldn’t have deleted their entire account?! Like if the photo was truly public they can leave it up and argue that - it wouldn’t bother me much personally, a private photo you don’t really have a leg to stand on…
I’m inclined to wonder if that’s so based on a few things: The user who sent the screenshot mentioned the picture posted was old. That to me implied it had been seen before (I might be misunderstanding though). So most likely PN didn’t have to take it from a private page if it was familiar to other fans. We don’t know the identity of the person who posted the chastisement or their relationship to Mike so what made that anonymous “J” even think the picture was from a private source? As you pointed out, PN just seemed to repost rares gathered from all over social media but just because something is new to me or I don’t know the source doesn’t mean it was taken from a private page. “J” also highlighted the fact that they don’t even have Pinterest….so they were someone just lurking on PN and waiting for something to be posted? It seemed to have happened in a matter of hours. Which brings me to: Based solely on my own experience when I first got back on Tumblr, it falls in line with the same behavior of fans who would send anon msgs in an attempt to police my blog and even go so far as to send me messages to attempt to encourage me to ostracize other users that they didn’t like. One of those same users (someone I have never knowingly conversed with) even blocked me on a public account but continued to send messages from a dummy account. All of this to say that multiple things can be happening. I wonder if maybe PN just didn’t want to have to deal with all of that? I never saw the owner of the account “respond” to anything. It seemed like the paulsnoodz page was mostly low-key until the IG picture was posted all over X and then linked back to them and Mike’s friend who had posted it - which then brought increased attention. Even then, all they did was delete the picture when they could have responded that they got it from a public profile and a public post so I’m sure someone said something to them about that as well. So maybe they were guilty (though I’m surprised then that there weren’t posts about “don’t interact with this page” as people have posted about users before, especially on Tumblr). Based on what I’ve seen and experienced, fans do too much in either direction when it comes to invasive behavior. I think some people forget that insisting you are the sole protector of a celeb and policing the propriety of other fans is also alarmingly parasocial and leads to behaviors that borderline on harassment and bullying.

Ohhh, something went down with that paulsnoodz Pinterest account. They posted another pic of Mike last night (not current), then someone commented this... ...and now the whole account is gone. I don't know where the pic came from, but I hope it wasn't actually taken from a private account. To be fair to the Pinterest account owner though, as far as I remember most of the stuff they posted was just rare photos/videos of fan encounters and his colleagues talking about him? It didn't seem like they were some sort of stalker that somehow had access to private accounts, so I'm kind of surprised. Well, who knows.
I wonder if that was an actual friend of Mike’s or just the parasocial police from X? 🤔 Because as you mention, many of the pics were old and seemed to be from public profiles when they were newer ones? Some of the videos/pics were “unseen” (or new to me at least) and behind the scenes type stuff but again, didn’t seem like it had come from private sources. Then again, idk? That’s so crazy though because I literally checked it last night before bed!!! If the pics were truly from private sources, that’s definitely an invasion of privacy; if it was just a case of misunderstanding and over reach from parasocial fans, that’s incredibly disappointing. But also kudos to you for being on top of it with the tea! ☕ 👏🏽
