Jigokudani Monkey Park is a park inhabited by macaques monkeys also known as snow monkeys. Here, you can watch monkeys bathing in the hot springs during Winter, which is when this park is most famous. The park has one man-made pool, located a few minutes from the park enterance, where the monkeys gather. Accostumed to humans, the monkeys can be observed from up close and ignore the watching guests. There’s a small information center in the park to teach visitors about the monkey troop and the alpha male system. Jigokudani monkey park Quando mi metto a pensare ai tanti viaggi fatti ed i posti visti, uno dei luoghi che mi tornano in mente per le emozioni che mi ha offerto è il parco Jigokudani. Non avevo mai visto le scimmie giapponesi scendere dalla montagna per andare a fare l'onsen tra le calde acque del fiume. Nonostante la pioggia incessante ed i chilometri a piedi che abbiamo dovuto fare per raggiungere il parco è un luogo indelebile nella mia memoria, dove un giorno vorrei ritornare.
