Tempest or FCAS?
With FCAS being shit-canned, Tempest is the only viable option. But as far as multi-national programs go, Tempest is actually a very good one. The contradictions between French and German demands for air performance was drastically divergent, which made FCAS always more of a pipe-dream. Tempest has similar design demands, incredible engineering minds behind it, and the demand to get it done, provided that the UK doesn’t shit the bed and Labour guts funding to continue subsidizing the triple lock (God, Labour has such an overwhelming advantage with the collapse of the Tories and they botched it in record time - Keir Starmer is truly exceptional though he had help from Corbyn’s sabotage). I think Germany is primed to offer defense offsets and join the program. They’ve got funding and engineers to spare. Germany should look to open negotiations to sign on the program forwith. Perun has a great breakdown on the collapse of FCAS here.
