Different songs,same feelings… Nisanur Duranay & Zişan Kaya Hi again! I am here to add a new star to my sky.🌌 This is another assignment for our ICT course. In this task, my friend Zişan Kaya and I created a vox-pop podcast to explore different perspectives by asking people the same question. We asked ten people the question: “If you had listened to only one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?” The answers were quite varied. Some participants chose emotional songs, while others preferred energetic ones. Some of them said that the songs they picked made them feel pleasant and relaxed. We used a free app Audio Joiner to both merge the audio recordings we had collected and add sound effects between them. Thanks to the participation of our friends, we did not have many challenges to find participants, as they were very thoughtful and cooperative. It was also a really fun and engaging experience. We listened eagerly to people’s various responses and we discovered some new great songs. Even though we come from different backgrounds we recognize once again that we share common feelings, unified by the power of music. In conclusion, as a future teacher, I would definitely use a similar activity in my class. It enables students to improve their speaking competence and enhance their self-confidence. It improves the efficiency of learning by incorporating more interactions and making it more enjoyable. On the other hand, they can be complex for some students to use recording technology.
