I am stuck between reviews and reading cuz I feel really lazy writing reviews and am reading like a dozen books altogether😏😏. Book Info: The Secret Of The Stolen Idols by Vivek R. Chaturvedi Pages: 309 Genre: Action & Adventure. Synopsis: The story focuses on our protagonist, Gururaj. He is the last of Goan priests who worships Betaal. Long ago, some idols were stolen from his ancestral temple and they are present in the local markets. Why were these long stolen idols in public and in the market now made Gururaj curious and he set to find out who the main culprit was? He engages himself in the journey to find the culprit but to his surprise, he is not the only one on the lookout. Ratings: 🌟4/5 Stars🌟. Review: The story has the aspects of suspense and thriller with some history and mythology too. It has been written beautifully.The plot is really good and the story setting is also great. The character developments were smooth but I felt the book was too descriptive and that made me kind of bored while reading the book. The book gets interesting after 100 pages as the first 50 pages are just introducing characters and the next 50 are getting the plot started. I thought that there were a lot of characters so it was quite jumbled up but as the book advanced I forgot all the cons and fell in love with the mystery. The suspense was well kept and it was really nicely written. The concept with a tinge of mythology made the book extraordinary and quite fun to read. Overall, the book is nicely written and the suspense is great too. The book could have been better but it’s worth reading at least once. So that’s it, hope you enjoyed it. See you soon. The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy published in 1905 5/5 This book has been a favorite of mine for years so I decided to put it to the test and reread it this summer, and it lived up to that expectation. Even though I knew what was about to happen, the book kept me surprised, as I had forgotten some of the little details Orczy slips in. This is another lighthearted adventure book and is definitely more of a just for fun read, but it is very fun to read. This book was actually the inspiration for modern day superhero movies and comics. The Scarlet Pimpernel was one of the earliest masked “superheroes” who keeps their identity anonymous.

BOOK 1 REVIEW: I was selected to read ‘Murder in Wizard’s Wood’ by Michael J. Allen, which I found through a book review website. Honestly, I was surprised, in the best way. Michael J. Allen has an excellent sense of humor and an unquestionable talent for adventure fantasy. This book ran me through all of the emotions and that is something I enjoy most about reading. I went into this book expecting something more ‘Forgotten Realms’ but was instead greeted by a fantastic host of mystical characters in a modern day atmosphere. I don’t typically read contemporary fantasy but I am glad I found this. The plot will keep you interested and revolves around this southern “peanut farmer” Jedediah Shine who is actually an exceptionally old Wizard in some serious trouble. Bouncing between the magical world and the ‘real world’, this book will bring you along Jedediah’s tremendous journey through evil, magic, romance, humor, and more. Michael J.
