Star Fox Movie Concept: Punk Eastwood Cover Concept I made a custom cover for the Gorillaz x Joey Valence and Brae mashup I came up with for my Star Fox movie concept . I plan on making and releasing the mashup soon. Also, let me know which version of the cover you prefer. Alternate Ver.
Star Fox Movie Trilogy Concept (UPDATED V.2.) I’ve been creating some notes for a potential Star Fox movie (if Nintendo decides not to have it be made by Illumination; which would be preferable). Constructive criticism is welcome.
Finished my PC Buddies Since I got into Starfox a few months ago I got so obsessed with it that I wanted to make the crew as little pixel arts stands next to my pc so I have my little friends with me. Also the way I positioned them is similiar to how they are standing in the title screen of Starfox 64.
Never took you for a Star Fox fan. Thoughts on the upcoming remake?
I can’t believe I missed this ask for so long … I’m sorry! I wasn’t trying to ignore you. I think I saw the notification on mobile, but wanted to answer on desktop and then had my ADHD kick in and forgot … but I’m answering now, and that’s what matters. I do like Star Fox, and have since I played Star Fox 64 for the first time in the 90s. I wouldn’t say I’m a huge Star Fox fan, like I’ve never made fan content for it and I don’t really consider myself in the fandom, but I do like the games that I’ve played for the most part. (And I accidentally stole Star Fox Adventures from a now defunct video rental store … my apologies to Hollywood Video.) As for the remake … I’m kind of ambivalent? By now I’ve gotten used to the more realistic art direction, and while I still don’t like that it looks like Nintendo is leaning a lot more into realism in their games (first the SF64 remake, and then the LoZ: OoT remake), I think what they’ve done with SF64 looks better than what they’ve done with OoT, at least for now. This is possibly because SF64 are all animals, and so the anthro aspect of it is still not realistic enough for my brain to be okay, versus when humans look really realistic in games and my brain gets super weirded out. As for the fact that it is SF64 again, though … I mean, SF64 is a fun game. I played it on N64 and also on 3DS. I like it. But I do wish that we had a new Star Fox game instead. I’ve heard that Miyamoto apparently doesn’t like Star Fox much and never knows what to do with it (hence why Star Fox Adventures is a Star Fox game; originally it was supposed to be an original IP, but he had to put out a Star Fox game and had them slap Star Fox on it instead). So if that’s the case, I can see why we’re getting yet another remake of SF64, especially since Star Fox Zero didn’t do well because it was on the Wii U. (And I mean, I owned a Wii U and didn’t even know SFZ existed until recently, so like … I get it.) But at the same time, I’m at a point in my life where while I can appreciate remakes of older games that I enjoyed, I’d also like brand new titles. I feel like this is especially the case for Star Fox, because Team Star Fox in SF64 is four male characters, whereas at least post- Adventures titles add Krystal to the team so we have at least one (1) female character in the main cast. The writing is not the strong point of Star Fox games ever and so it’s not like Krystal is a super complex, interesting character, but it’s nice to have at least one girl in the main cast, you know? We’re begging for scraps here. I’ll probably pick up the remake at some point, though it won’t be this month because Deltarune ’s fifth chapter comes out this month, and so I’ll be playing that instead. Plus, I want to save my money for Splatoon Raiders next month, given that I prefer Splatoon over Star Fox and Raiders is a brand new game versus a remake. (Plus Part Two, I’m also still replaying BotW right now, so it’s not like I have nothing to play.) But I will say that all the memes about Fox being put through the same war over and over again have been very funny, as are the memes about Nintendo remaking SF64 yet again . I enjoyed them.
